Great hotel! Great location! Great staff!

Everything was fine EXCEPT the room was so cold and the thermostat so functionless, we FROZE UNTIL we had to turn on the heat to get the room to a "bearablely" cool 70.

Perfect location for exploring downtown

Clean room

Very clean and quiet hotel, all within walking distance to the Harrah convention center and downtown. Conveniently located next to the highway for easy access other locations.
-
Super clean room. Walking distance to downtown. You can order breakfast and not eat the buffet.

Great location and mountain view. Convenient to downtown food and shopping.

Great location and convenient parking. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. It was nice to be within a short walk of so many restaurants and shops.

Great location, comfortable and clean

A few things missing for me: no half n half in room. There was a refrigerator but no microwave. TV was cable and after years of watching streaming services, cable is absolutely horrid as it is almost nothing but commercials! Breakfast was ok. I would eat elsewhere. Front desk staff was wonderful! Always pleasant and helpful. Best part: proximity to a very walkable downtown!

The rooms were clean. Check in and out was so easy. All staff were very nice and friendly.

Indoor pool was too cold to use. Location to walking downtown was very good. Mountain view was good and it is a very quiet place even though it is right there at I-240. I never got my emailed statement.

If you’re considering this hotel, be prepared for a masterclass in incompetence. In a single stay, we were asked to pay for a breakfast that was already included in our reservation, our room was not serviced, our key stopped working, requested towels never arrived, and management’s response to our complaints was complete indifference. Our room was not serviced at all. No fresh towels. No replenished water. No coffee. No tea. Our room key stopped working. It was reprogrammed and still did not work. After I reported these issues through the hotel chat, I was asked what could be done to improve our evening. I requested fresh towels, bottled water, coffee, and tea. Hours passed. Nothing was delivered. No one followed up. The breakfast situation deserves special mention. We were asked to pay for a breakfast that was already included in our reservation. Later, I discovered an additional $4 tip charge on my folio that I did not authorize. After multiple service failures throughout the stay, finding questionable charges on the final bill did not inspire confidence. My advice to future guests: review your folio carefully before checking out. At checkout, I informed management that our room had not been serviced and that the requested towels had never arrived. The response I received was simply: “Okay.” That one word perfectly summarized the entire experience. The hotel itself is not the problem. Asheville is wonderful. The problem is management. When housekeeping fails, the front desk fails, guest services fail, communication fails, billing raises questions, and management shows no interest in resolving any of it, the issue is no longer individual mistakes. The issue is leadership. This hotel doesn’t need better apology scripts. It needs management training.

Overall great stay. Location is close to city and walkable. Great view of mountains for the room we booked.

Furthermore, the hotel was just a few minutes away from the South Slope and downtown.
