It was better than we expected and the food was great Well it was really very good all round but I think that most guests stay for one night then move on but we were there for three or four and choosing a different evening meal was a challenge for them. But. It’s a great place to!!

Black mold in their room private baths and pink mold in their sinks. Water in bath was cold, so not likely from onsen. Breakfast was not good, there was barely anything to eat.

The hospitality of the staff is amazing. When having breakfast with my family, I felt being rushed.

Beautiful property, superb meals. The staff were amazing!

Modern design and overall esthetics Check in female clerk was taking long and not very focus; forgot what she told us & what she didn’t-overall bad for this type of property David at Welcome Tea on 8th flr most wonderful Otherwise, Seina certainly made up for bad reception as she was most helpful and she took great care of us! Check in associate as written above Double dinner prices at property vs when booked ahead-doubled!! No shuttle to & from train station

New, Modern and overall clean design Staff especially Seina as she was most friendly, very helpful and extremely thoughtful. She took excellent care of us! She and her team mate, Natsumi were both terrific! David on 8th floor was superb at our Welcome Tea as well. The female associate checked us in was not very experienced as she kept forgetting what she told us and what she hasn’t. Therefore, she took unnecessary long for check in process!

The staff are extremely friendly, the hotel has an amazing look and offers multiple services and activities you can do in the hotel with a rooftop lounge and baths, the food was amazing and I truly felt totally relaxed and comfortable at the hotel. Would definitely come back. The bus station is about a five minute walk, although the hotel is a bit far you can go anywhere with a bus and the location offers some peace and quiet after a long day. The rooms are spacious and everything was extremely lovely!!! Totally recommend the rooms with an outdoor bath. Nothing

We had an excellent experience at Soki Atami. It’s a beautiful property with excellent accommodations and wonderful staff. The room was spacious and comfortable, we loved the private bath in our room. The garden view we had was very nice but the rooftop view at night was really beautiful. The Japanese breakfast set was delicious and there was plenty of other items to try along with it. There was a small step from where the bed was down to the rest of the room. Both my wife and I tripped on it during our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this quiet and elegant hotel. We loved the decor and the environment. The food was the best part of the stay. We had the half board (dinner and breakfast) plan. We would say that the food quality and presentation was one of the best we had experienced in a hotspring / half board experience so far. The service by the staffs was excellent. We also like that the location is not too far and not too close to the buzzing crowded station area -- it was exactly what we wanted to be able to enjoy the calmness. One of the best things in the morning was to wake up and go to the balcony to enjoy the forest and mountain views. We also liked the beds and pillows. The public bath (onsen) was on the smaller side. The bath size was quite small so when there were 10 people it felt really crammed. That being said, each room is equipped with its own onsen bath so we really enjoyed the privacy and comfort in our own room.

Dining was excellent and true luxury Japanese cuisine.

• The private outdoor onsen was incredible — spacious, relaxing, and the highlight of our Valentine’s weekend. • Our room was huge, beautifully designed, and felt genuinely luxurious. • The staff were warm, friendly, and consistently helpful. • Overall atmosphere was calm, modern, and perfect for a quiet getaway. • For a little over $600 per night, a few details didn’t match the premium price. • The bathroom had a noticeable funky smell, like it needed a deeper bleach-style cleaning. • Breakfast had zero Western options — no eggs, breads, just coffee. Everything was heavy Japanese flavors, which is fine for some, but it would’ve been nice to have at least one western-style option. • There were no Valentine’s dinner specials, which felt surprising for a holiday weekend. • All dinner reservations were initially full, and when something opened up, the dinner was about $120 per person and didn’t look appetizing enough to justify that price.

The room was very spacious and modern with a sleek Japanese esthetic. The communal onsen was very clean and relaxing. The area was very quiet away from the main Atami crowds, but only about 10 minutes by bus or taxi to Atami Station or the beach. There is also a supermarket and convenience store within about 10 minutes walk from the hotel for snacks and breakfast supplies. Ocean views from the hotel were also nice. When I got to my room after checking in, the bath tub in my room was already filled. I think it is better to leave it to the guests to fill the bath when they are ready, to avoid wasting energy/water. I ended up not using the bath in my room as there appeared to be black mould in the hinoki tub, and I used the communal onsen instead, which looked cleaner.

food was amazing, inside was stunning, modern, zen, and lavish. the area around the hotel was very walkable and lovely as well. 100/10.

I stayed in a suite and the room was nice. The property overall was clean, quiet, and well maintained. I also appreciated that there were very few tourists, which made the stay feel calm and relaxed. The restaurant inside the hotel only offers an 18,000yen course menu for dinner, and there aren’t many dining options nearby either. It would’ve been nice to have more options or light room services too. Breakfast was beautifully made, but nothing so special for my likings. For my suite room Unfortunately, the large sofa area in front of the TV monitor had an unpleasant smell, possibly because the linens hadn’t been properly cleaned?? so I didn’t feel comfortable staying there, which was a real shame.
