Quirky, interesting, friendly, not predictable. And the rooms were super-clean and tidy. Surprisingly quiet given the location. Nothing

Great location, walkable to many places. Bed was comfortable and there was nice use of space. The room had very thoughtful features and amenities No complaints

Excellent location

I also enjoyed the ocean views from both floors. There was a short walk to to a beautiful beach and a short taxi ride to delicious wine tastings. Wish I could have stayed longer.
-
Toilet in our room was very small with closed door (challenging for taller people)

The bed was great, also the shower. Great breakfast!

Bfast good Door to bathroom was very noisy.
-
Difficulty exiting carpark. Some water noise issues meant I needed to change room.
-
The staff provided take away breakfast and coffee as our flight was very early, which was a very nice touch. We'd definitely stay again.

Very affordable, new, great location - viaduct a block away, generous cooked-for-you breakfast, modern technology, deluxe balcony room well laid out. That we didn’t have the time to use any of the facilities: pool, spa, bikes, sauna etc.

Great location. Clean and comfy. Very boutique and creative place to stay More doors in Bathroom. A bit too noisy when sharing with another to hear loo noises

Great location right near the waterfront, restaurants and bars. Super friendly staff. Our room got upgraded and it was an excellent size with all the amenities including a bathtub. Very retro decor which we loved. Al a carte breakfast was delicious, and included a barista coffee. Decent gym and pool. There is a single sliding door between the toilet and shower, so you can only use one at a time, otherwise the water will splash into the bathroom.

Great location.. good parking.. excellent staff .. smaller lobby but felt very personal.. Need to upgrade some of the tired rugs

The room and bathroom were very nice and clean. The bed was super comfortable. The person at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and included in the price of the stay. We liked everything about it and will be staying there again when we fly out from Auckland.

Nice hotel in fairly quiet location. Could post WiFi on desk.

The property itself is well presented and in a good location. The rooms are well designed and comfortable, and we were genuinely looking forward to the stay after moving over from QT Auckland. The check-in experience was disappointing and unwelcoming. The interaction felt overly rigid and focused on what we “can’t do,” rather than helping. There was confusion around breakfast (which was included in our booking), and we were told to “take it up with Booking.com” instead of it being resolved at the hotel. Arrival and parking were poorly handled. There is no valet and no clear guidance on where to stop. When we asked if we could briefly leave the car to unload luggage, we were told it was “at our risk,” and when asked if we had booked parking it felt as though we had done something wrong. We ended up driving around the block trying to work it out, despite what appeared to be available parking in the basement. We were also repeatedly directed to the hotel’s website for policies, despite booking via Booking.com. Overall, the tone felt more procedural than hospitable and not particularly family-friendly. This feedback is based on the check-in experience.
