Garden Hostel

Which is very important.Especially if your a Backpacker or traveller. I've stayed at many hostels around the world. and this one feels like home it's safe and not as crowded as some others. The cleanliness of the hostel is ok. And manageable. The hostel is situated on the 9th floor.the view from my room is stunning. Thank you to the staff there also .would recommend this hostel to family and friends if they come to New Zealand.

The location is fantastic. The toilet and bathroom is dirty and the blanket, pillow case, bedsheet and the comforter is not quite wash cos there’s a smell. The nearby rooms they’re very noisy I awake up few time in my sleep. The property smells the food people cooking.

The staff was super friendly and it is a good price for the location it is in. We even had some great harbour views from our room. The aircon in our room wasn’t working and the mattresses were a bit uncomfortable (I could feel the springs)

Perfect location! Lovely view from ocean view room option. Quiet travelers who kept to themselves. AC didn't work, no fan to borrow, the window didn't afford much breeze. The "Quadruple Room" (with 4 beds) charged extra per person (over 2 people). Mostly international travelers with different standards of kitchen&bathroom cleanliness than western travelers.

Disgusting fridges and at the beginning one filthy shower which was cleaned after few days.

All time very quiet. Especially at night, I could sleep very well. Very comfortable at my room and kitchen. I made many friends here. People are from around the world. Location and security is super nice. Sometimes bathroom and kitchen is not very clean because some people don’t clean up after themselves. But staff clean up regularly for us.

Edward is an excellent manager, caring and attentive to guests. The hostel is in a very safe place, close to everything and transportation. I do wish that the desk was managed 11- 7 or later.

Really centrally located, and the family room is spacious and great view!! The double bed room was a little dampy.

I love the location & the amenities at the hostel & around. I have been there for 4 weeks & it was my great experience.

I was able to check in late as my flight was delayed. I think there was an extra fee added, but that's OK it was a convenient thing. But it was overall comfy. I had the 8-person dorm but only 2 others, so it was quite spacious. I liked that there was a desk with a mirror (could either get ready or use the desk to study which was convenient also). I would most definitely book again. As the location was very convenient. I could go to uni and get stuff done could also go to the viaduct for a birthday party. n/a: You basicaly get what you pay for.

the room was very dirty, I complained to Booking.com and the owner came and said I had just stat the JW Marriott. the property is located very well, however, lacks cleaning. The pillow was yellow.

Lopcation. Staff very helpful Beds were terrible ..squeaky every time you moved...even a little...was hard to sleep. Room was quite far from toilet

The beds were not comfortable at all unfortunately

no This seemed like an illegally run hostel in an office building. The staff was 45 minutes late to meet us with the keys and only showed up after I called, no towels, construction zone, sketchy, I could go on and on

location, value for money, kind staff, cleanliness no wifi yet but according to the staff it will be available within the next few days
