L'Observance Bed & Breakfast

Owners were friendly and helpful. The night we arrived, the owner met us at the gate with an umbrella because it was raining. He helped carry my heavy luggage upstairs. Breakfast was fabulous. We had a selection of eggs, croissants, baguettes, cheese, meats, juices, coffee and more. Jacqueline made sure we had the correct times to catch the bus on our way to Provence. N/A

We enjoyed the warm welcome and help from Jacqueline and Jeroen and the peaceful and convenient location. The room and facilities were clean and ready to use. Didn’t dislike anything.

The hosts were fabulous! They were always around to help you without hovering. The location was perfect for walking around the old city, so once we parked on the property we never used our car again in Avignon. The property is lovely, an ancient building completely remodeled inside with modern conveniences. The room was large with a very comfortable bed ( we are quite tall) and excellent linens. We loved the simple, modern design of the furniture. The big windows opened easily so we could enjoy fresh air. The bathroom was large with two sinks. Breakfast was a feast: breads, cheese, meats, eggs, jam, butter, fruit, juice, coffee or tea. The staircase was steep. It didn’t bother us, but someone with mobility issues should ask for a ground floor room. Your GPS won’t take you to the right door. Go to the end of the street…

Great location, gracious hosts

We chose to stay in Avignon as a central location to get an overview of Provence. We chose this bed and breakfast in hopes we’d have a quiet and comfortable place to get over jet lag. We enjoyed the location, and the bed-and-breakfast was quiet, very comfortable and the hosts gracious. The breakfast was good and hosts offered sightseeing advice. We highly recommend this B & B. Nothing.

Beautiful property. Within the walled city! Great location. Attention to detail and kindness by hosts are superb. Breakfast is delicious and the pool certainly adds to the charm.

The property was clean and very beautiful. The owners were very helpful and a delight. The breakfast was fresh and delicious.

The hosts were so friendly and warm...they made staying in their B & B like staying in their home. Our room was large and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the outdoor space was great for morning coffee! An afternoon swim was a cherry on top! Absolutely nothing.

One of two bathroom sinks was functional. Also a light over a sink was not working. The room was sparcley furnished with IKEA and could have been cleaner.

Beautiful, quiet setting inside the walled city of Avignon. The location was easy to find by car. The room was large with comfortable beds. The hosts provided a nice breakfast and had great recommendations for local restaurants that were within easy walking distances.

The location was great. Our room was on the ground floor so we had no stairs. We weren’t aware of what the common areas were I guess because we were in the apartment on the ground floor. The pics make the place look more grand.

Couldn’t ask for better hosts, lovely rooms with great ablutions and superb breakfast. It was all good

Breakfast was great - nice selection of breads, meat and cheese and even eggs cooked to your liking. The room was modern and clean and couldn’t hear any outside traffic noises. Thought there would be more history about the place, instead of it being just a standard room and breakfast. The website makes it seem as if the pool is a main attraction but it was too cold to swim in and couldn’t figure out how to access the terrace.
