Almost Everything!! There is a bar down the road that plays music very loudly until after midnight. It was fine for me, but my wife found it disconcerting. (The hotel supplies ear plugs, which some would find to be a blessing)!!

The breakfast was amazing! Huge and with choses and delicious beyond expectations for "breakfast included" . Beautiful roof top with hammocks and panoramic views. Great location, a short walk to the centre. Recommend the sailing trip on the Lagoon! The pool is in the shade.

The view The hammocks on terrace were white with mold stains , stairs going to roof top dirt & and pool was stain and dirty garbage can in bathroom , grounds kept in the front only , it needs some cleaning and some decors upgrades

Central location, about 20 minute walk from ADO bus station and 5 minute walk to downtown. Breakfast was great - your choice of chilaquiles, waffles, or eggs. Rooms has minibar. Didn’t try the pool or the panoramic rooftop but pool looked small but secluded and panoramic roof would be nice (if weather allows)a The plumbing in room 6 needs work. Toilets rarely flushed sufficiently. Internet was weak and would constantly drop out. Fan would randomly turn out full blast and turn lights on in the middle of the night. Windows leaked a bit after heavy rain. Despite thick concrete walls and closed windows, we could still hear everything from the next room, intimate personal noises. There’s a club nearby that plays loud music until 3-4am but it’s not too loud that it will keep you up. Property said they rent bikes but I guess I misunderstood because they only refer you to a bike rental place, they don’t have any actual bicycles to offer, so if you arrive after 5pm and have a tour early at 6am, you won’t be able to bike there.

This is my third time staying at Hotel Aires and I have nothing but good things to say. I had originally planned on only staying for a couple of days & ended up staying for an entire week. From the staff, the breakfast, the views of the laguna, and room amenities - this is one of my favorite hotels, especially as a solo traveler. Each room has a hammock on your own personal balcony, lock box, laundry service, coffee maker + coffee :), as well as sustainable + good smelling shampoo & conditioner. There's small sofa beds/couches in each room that you can hang out on or even sleep on. One of my favorite parts about this hotel is the amazing salt water pool & rooftop area that is surrounded by trees and the relaxing sounds of birds (both great options in the mornings or after a long day at the laguna). The rooftop has hammocks and stunning views of the laguna for both sunrise and sunset. Hotel Aires is only a 5 min. walk to the center of town, local restaurants/bars like La Playita & La Catrina, and only a 10 min. walk to the local muelle (dock), where you can watch the sunrise and swim. I highly advise to wake up for sunrise and afterwards enjoy a nice breakfast in the communal dining area (where there are also beautiful views of the laguna) with a nice playlist, options for coffee, juice, fresh fruit with granola and yogurt, chilaquiles, and ham and eggs. One of my favorite things about Hotel Aires is how quiet, peaceful, and safe it feels. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating and I felt right at home. If you need to take an afternoon nap, read a book, and/or do any remote work, it is very quiet and there is also great wi-fi. I can't say enough about how much I like this hotel and can't wait to bring more friends and family here in the future. I recommend booking in advance during the high season because the hotel is usually booked up due to how nice it is. I wish I could stay longer :)

The hotel is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The staff is super friendly and ready to help. There are many places around to book your activities at the lagoon. The pool is too small.

Great hotel, excellent location, nice and quiet stay. Rooftop terrace is great to relax. Kids loved the shady pool to escape the daytime heat. Breakfast was an added bonus that was enjoyed by the whole family. Staff were very good at organising some great tours (paddle boarding and boat tour), with local companies. Overall was a great stay in Bacalar town. All was perfect for us.

Wifi was not working at all in our room and also in common areas very bad signal. Restaurant bathrooms not clean.

The location was perfect. The property had a resort feel to it. The room was great. The showers was very good The breakfasts are wonderful and the breakfast staff were amazing. All in all it was a great choice.

Beautiful, intimate property. I loved all of the hammocks. The staff were very nice and the breakfast was lovely! The toilet in the women’s washroom near the breakfast area did not flush properly.

The location and the greenery Scene as a view form the window. The walls in the room were extremely dirty, even the sockets that are constantly touched had never been cleaned. It definitely needs cleaning and refreshing. Half of the sockets didn’t work, and there was no second bin or tissue paper in the room. The facilities were very minimal, especially for the price. The breakfast was very basic, with very small portions and no options.
