La Galuna Bacalar

Easy to check-in was a last minute booking. Great location we could park and walk to explore the area. very quiet and comfortable for our one night stay. Facilities was clean . the bar wasn't fully operational but we were told upon check in so we were able to make do and a convenience store was close by

This hotel has been advertised as boutique hotel but it doesn’t have the facilities as advertised. Old towels provided and the breakfast has very limited choices Better quality bedding items like pillows and towels

It was neat to the entrance for the lagoon, also good restaurants nearby. Also really good size of the room and comfortable bed and pillows

We had trouble sleeping as it is very noisy. You hear everything that's going on in the hallway, the pool and outside. On the second night, a big party was going on next door or above us. So we couldn't sleep until 3am. And then cleaning begins already before 7am. Just not enough quiet time to sleep well.

It had a nice pool, spacious rooms, good location. Very bad wifi. One night it was almost completely out (couldn't load any videos on iPhone or tv in the room), next night it is working inconsistently. If your life does not depend on being online, this hotel is a great place otherwise

Whay you see on the pictures is what you get. Very nice rooms in practically a new building. Great beds, great shower and good location. Close to the center and the many beachbars you can find around the lake. We rented the bikes from the hotel to explore Bacalar which was fun. Expensive compared to similar hotels in other parts of Mexico, but similar priced to similar hotels arount the lake

We loved our suite. The room was big and the jacuzzi in the patio was perfect! The hotel is just a 10 min walk to the centre along a well lit street. The breakfast was the best we had so far at a hotel in Mexico. A nice bonus is that the cocktails are good and cheap :). They even made us breakfast when we had to leave early to get the bus to Valladolid. Really recommend this hotel!

The location was a little bit of a walk away from the main area. The doors of our room were also left open all day/evening so when we arrived there were lots of mosquitos.

I liked how close it was to the lagoon. Ample parking as well. The access to the rooms va is in the main hallway. So you can hear everything and everyone which woke me up many times throughout the night and then the maintenance crew at 4:30-5am in the morning making even more noise.

Nice bedrooms size. Small pool. No restaurant for dinner. Very slipery floor (dangerous for kids after swimming). The staff could be more helpful.

The bed was AMAZING! The staff were AMAZING! Super helpful staff, receptionist there 24/7, organized a taxi at 5am for us. Great! Lovely, chilled environment. Love! Access to refillable water would be ideal

The breakfast was made to order, fresh and tasty. The location is in a quieter neighborhood within close walking distance of great restaurants for dinner and little shops for necessities. The design of the hotel is unique and fun and the staff are friendly and helpful. They could easily charge more for these rooms.
