The whole place was gorgeous! We had the room with an ensuite attached and it was so cute! Walking distance to the bus station if needed, room for parking if you have a car. Good communal area with kitchen, I was able to work from there for a while so wifi is good enough for working! Close to the lagoon, about 25mins walk into the main area but has lots of restaurants on the same road as a cheaper price too. Gym 10 mins walk away, we love it here! Unsure if I missed it on their page but we didn't have any form of lock on our room/tent. When I asked they provided us with a locker, however the gate was left open a fair amount with workers coming in and out. We had the place to ourselves all but one night but just something I would have maybe liked to have known before hand. Again, may have missed it in their description but worth noting here just in case anyone else does!

location its around 10min walk from lagoon and its next to Main Street but even garden inside was incredible, so calm and peaceful

Good place to visit Bacalar. Nice common garden. Its at a big street but if you are a good sleeper, you don't mind the traffic. 10 to 20 min walking to the center.

I like the place it's so natural. I took the one with private bathroom included. It so nice to take bath and look at the sky at the time. The bed is comfortable and the decor is beautiful The place is so nice if it's far away from the highway. The noise of car and camions is so noisy which makes me wake-up sometimes and the mosquitoes are savage so prepare yourself with the spray otherwise they like tourists blood they going to bit you no pity !!

It's a lovely place with clean showers a nice kitchen and a very nice outdoor seating area! Check-in was easy, a great system with the QR code! Not too close to the lagoon but maybe 7-10 minutes of walking which is not a problem at all! It's next to a big street so you will hear the trucks during the night, consider that when booking. With some earplugs it's perfect!

Really nice place... I spend 3 nights there. The only bad think is that is near the main road and you can hear all cars. But personally, I didn't mind at all.

What a great little facility with a Beach Club connection on the Lagoon. Friendly staff at the glamping site. But take a bike ride or taxi down to the beach club and you won't regret it. Ferdi is a great host and arranged a perfect sunset catamaran cruise with an equally awesome skipper Valentina who showed us the best of the Lagoon!!! The only downside to El Buho Glamping was it's location right on highway 307 which has heavy noisy traffic 24/7 because of the Mayan Railroad construction!!

Very clean, comfortable, beautiful garden, like a little oasis. Location. Quite far walk from the centre

Not too sure what happened with some of the other reviews, but we just loved this spot! The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially when hiring a bike or organising activities. The grounds were beautiful and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook meals. The room had a fan and a really comfy bed. The overall experience was just so welcoming and so comfortable. We stayed in one of the back rooms so the noise from the road didn't wake us up or seem noisy at all. We would recommend this as a place to stay during Bacalar. The vibe was 10/10! Not that we didn't like it but just be aware that this is a bit out of Bacalar. It took about 20 minutes to walk into the main square.

It makes my a bit sad that I cannot give a higher rating for this place, because the inside is really beautiful, the garden is so relaxing, I love the vibe of it. The beds are big and comfy, the rooms and the bathrooms are clean and everything works and of course the staff was very kind and helpful. However, the location is just a huge minus. The noise from the Interstate right in front of the property has been extreme. I didn't close an eye that night...despite using my high quality earplugs that usually get me sleeping while the plane is still taking off. It only adds to the problem that the Interstate is the main connection for all traffic between Chetumal and the border to the rest of the state...so it's mostly heavy duty trucks going, and they go day and night. I've talked to some of the guests staying in cabins further in the back, according to them it was less noisy there. So my recommendation would be to avoid the huts in front at all cost and go for one in the back. Of course location is something that cannot be changed, but you could for example raise a wall in front of the property instead of the hedge...this would already block a major part of the noise and it's not that expensive either. If you ever end up doing this, I'd love to stay with you again!

The place is amazing, the people there is really nice and the cabins are super nice and clean. I highly recommend it If you're a dream sleeper just consider that the location is next to the highway. So it could be a bit loud for sleeping.

Friendly staff, excellent experience to stay in the tent, very clean. Bit noisy, due to close road and bad smells from fire place next to location.

If your an early riser this place is for you, I loved the outdoor shower and enjoyed staying outside in the huts. Bike hire 150 pesos, 7 mins cycling to town and 12 min walk to ADO. There was no microwaveable bowls, Wi-Fi wasn’t very good. Bed was very uncomfortable in mango.

Beautiful and super fun way to stay in Bacalar, and see the nature! Comfortable little huts and bathrooms behind them, best glamping ever! The tropical plants on the property were gorgeous! Just be ready for a cold shower, you'll get used to it in Mexico

Charming atmosphere, glamping tents were clean. Common areas could use a little TLC, especially the communal kitchen. For such a small area, they do have beautiful foliage. You also get a discount if you want to visit their sister location along the lagoon. It’s worth the price. Communal bathrooms were clean, and we had our laundry done, which came back clean and fresh. The kitchen was slightly messy. Granted it’s communal and they give you stickers to claim your groceries. Red is off limits green is shared. I don’t think guests really pay attention as all of our groceries disappeared. They have a seating section but during our stay it was missing half the couch, so we sat on tabletops. No biggy, I’d just get it fixed soon. Dishes, cups, and dinnerware was not on my level of cleanliness, and I’m pretty well traveled. Lastly if your a light sleeper, do NOT book El Buho, it is situated right along side a very busy, noisy highway. You need earphones or plugs to sleep.
