Hotel Circulo Bacalar

Nothing this hotel could help, but the dogs in the neighborhood could sometimes bark a lot at night.

The staff was very helpful & friendly. Mateo was so very kind and attentive.Breakfast was great.

Nothing really to compliant about. I only wish the breakfast had more options but no other complaints.

Location is good - short walk to the centre of town and the lagoon, but also quiet at night so we could sleep well. The staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful, especially Luis on the front desk. Only thing was we were asked to wait while our room was checked at the end of our stay - not a problem except we needed to leave quickly to catch our bus! So just giving more warning about this would be handy :)

If you don’t need a lot of luxe, but appreciate beautiful, creative design and friendly and competent staff, this hotel is for you. Just amazing the use of space and the thought that went into every detail of the layout. We applaud the architect. Yet it’s simple…. No “extras” like hairdryers, irons… but you can borrow from the desk.

Beautiful place, the pool area is lovely to chill after a long day at the lagoon. Room was perfect and beds comfortable. Special thanks to Luis, helped us book a lovely trip on the lagoon, always there to help us out if we needed anything! He gave us the best tip for dinner, we had a lovely time! Also thanks to Carlos! Recommend coming here if you want to stay in Bacalar. 10 min walk from the center, breakfast wasn’t great.

Fantastic hotel, clean, quiet, great facilities. Every member of staff we came across was genuinely so kind and accommodating. The extra-large bed was amazing, best nights of sleep in a long time. Great location, about 10 mins walk from the centre, 15 mins from the lagoon. Not a deal-breaker at all but I don’t recommend the breakfast as there isn’t much to eat and it is quite expensive.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Very clean. Parking was super tight, was looking forward to breakfast but it was kinda awkward when we went out there, couldn't tell if it was a sit down kinda thing or a very very small buffet type... we ended up going somewhere else.

This hotel is an oasis, only four blocks from the Plaza Principal in Bacalar. We liked everything: the Staff is accommodating, warm and friendly; room and common areas exceptionally clean; pool area is beautiful, so inviting; adequate, off the Street parking; fantastic breakfast offerings, at reasonable price. Only suggestion, would be an upgrade to in-room air-conditioning, as the unit took a while to cool room.

The hotel was very clean and quiet, and the courtyard was a beautiful tropical oasis. Staff was very helpful. The included breakfast had some variety each day and was good.Neighborhood was very quiet at night. Unlimited refillable bottled water available at the bar 24hr. We were very happy that the hotel lived up to the pictures and reviews! We would definitely stay here again. 6min walk to main square where there were lots of shops, banking and restaurants. The bikes available to guests were not maintained, and it seemed like the brakes were purposely dissabled to discourage guests from using them (for safety reasons). There wasn't an option that I could find for a king-sized bed, and our room had two double beds (not queen)... however, we did sleep very well.

Loved this hotel so much and will definitely be back, walkable to some great restaurants & bars , safe ,my favourite place was the pool though , great rooms very spacious & friendly staff from reception to the breakfast staff Just one improvement would be the bikes they offer ,all male bikes that are quite old but get the job done if you're going a short distance

The staff here really make the place what it is. They are so helpful and genuinely want you to have a good stay! Mateo in the restaurant is wonderful too! Location is super central to town, and feels safe. The massage therapists are beautiful, and I am super grateful for my gifted massage!! The kids loved the hammock above the living room! We unfortunately had so many little things go wrong on our trip, which tainted our experience a little. What I did appreciate though was the responsiveness of the staff and how quickly they tried to help and fix things! These things will happen in a place like Mexico, but having good staff will make the difference!

Luis and Mateo friendly and helpful . Pool was nice. Breakfast was good. Power outage due to surge of power, communication on repair could have been better. Back up plan to open door if card reader battery dead.

The property was well furnished, the staff were very friendly and the room was very spacious and light. The pool area is a lovely place to chill in the sunshine :) They hadn’t told us the restaurant was closed for a month so sadly we couldn’t get any food there - bar a basic breakfast. The location isn’t very central, but it just meant we got our steps in!

Absolutely lovely little gem of a hotel - great breakfast with super staff. We really enjoyed our stay. Pool area is also very nice and relaxing. It's only a couple of blocks from the main square so easy to get to everything, but also very quiet at night. We felt it was good value for money.
