I loved the place, the exhuberant nature, feels like being in the middle of the jungle. There where ants in the basin bathroom area of the room. There was no privacy to shower, a curtain is needed for privacy between the bed area and the shower area. I’m sorry but the personnel came into my room even when we told them no cleaning was needed, and to not to come please, and they stole toiletries that we had brought and took part of my creams oils and even inciense. This is unacceptable. They didn’t take any valuables, but the fact that they came into the room even when we told them not to, and conducted this ant stealing makes it a violation of my privacy and well being. Besides the room was far apart from reception and we arrived by taxi with a lot of luggage and instead of the girl telling me how far and uncomfortable it would be to drag out luggage through terrain with no cement, dirt road, she oddly didn’t say anything and the taxi left and it was a horrific hassle to take our luggage to the room. She could have made us aware of the conditions so the taxi would have dropped us of in the room. I’m very sad that the stealing took place because otherwise I would love to return. But I can’t trust my belongings in this place. The keepers of the place are friendly and nice and it isn’t personal at all, they just have this May stealing culture which is a no no for me.

Great location! We were without power for about 12 hours, but I’m not sore anything could have been done.

I was right on the Lagoon and therefore had an amazing view and access to the dock, kayaks and such. I requested Lagoon front. My unit was the only one which is Lagoon front, the others across the road in a jungle setting. Also, very nice but not Lagoon front. The staff is very helpful and friendly. -There was no safe box in my room. -A little closer to town would be nice. It's a good walk for exercise but a little far to walk for dinner. It's very hot.

Our room was very stark - white floor, walls, bed, everything except for a little carpet that had some colour. It felt a little dystopian - some paintings or a little colour could help make it feel less cold and strange. Our bed also only had sheets and no blanket. When we asked for one, the staff brought it right away, which was fantastic, but it was a really light blanket and we were still a bit chilly (it was cooler while we were there).

The privacy, and access to the water No blanket on the bed, was very chilly a couple of nights.

The entrance, the pool, and their customer service.

The suite we booked was incredible. Private porch and amazing in room tub - honey moon suite vibes for sure. It was a block away from lagoon so easy to walk and have wonderful waterfront views. Dogs allowed but not on bed which is hard to control completely. We didn’t bring a crate.

The location is perfect and the room in front of the lake is ideal. The pier has great shade and the option for renting kayaks is good but could be included or a little cheaper. The check-in experience was a mess, with other guests we traveled with not having a room even though they had a reservation. Also, we do not recommend doing tours with them as the information they provide is inaccurate. They sell a tour with everything included but when you do the tour nothing is provided. I suggest booking with booking or anyone else but not the hotel directly.

Sink smelled bad water was leaking from the sink, restroom didn’t flush properly Above mentioned

Beautiful, from the moment we entered the reception, we were greeted by very friendly staff and a beer. The room with the pool on the roof was worth the splurge! You have an entire rooftop, with mini fridge, bathroom and of course pool with a view to yourself! The room itself was spotlessly clean, with a well appointed kitchenette. The bathroom was huge and the shower was hot with great water pressure (hard to find in Bacalar). The lagoon is an easy walk across the street and the dock was a perfect spot to hang out all day. If you’re tired and don’t want to hunt down food, there is a decent restaurant on site. We will stay here again when we return. Wish the door leading to the rooftop apartment/pool was more secure. At night, some people were on the roof, hanging out and moving chairs around.

Expensive, noisy (next to the highway), smells bad, facilities are low budget and sold as high end. As no 5 stars at all

The location and they have private area by the lagoon.

Beautiful rooms and property, loved the pool, the staff was super friendly and helpful, location was terrific with a little trail down to the beautiful lagoon and easy walking distance to the main part of town. Just remember to bring bug spray (you’re in the jungle next to a lagoon after all ;) Everything was great!

The staff. Customer service On point. Easy to communicate with and readily available. Great recommendations by staff. Access to the lagoon. The restaurant next to the property. The rooms were spacious. This property just needs a little more attention to detail to make it a 9. Touches such as a chair or two in the spacious rooms, better towels, toiletries, something to place luggage on, etc. There is a gap on the bottom of the doors. But no complaints. We had a nice comfortable stay.

It was a little hard to find at first since we were without internet, but once we got there, we were so happy.

A large bungalow unit in a jungly area away from any other buildings and a short walk away from the lagoon. The bed was large and comfortable, the room was clean and any requests I made were attended to immediately. There is a lovely dock and palapa in the lagoon area along with other areas on land to lounge and relax. The room is cool and quiet with decent extras to make your visit comfortable. The outdoor furniture next to the lagoon is pretty old and tired. I wished there was an easier way to get into the lagoon- the only options were a wood ladder at the end of the dock, without a railing or down a small ramp covered in seaweed on land. The bungalow I stayed in was next to an area that had garbage and items covered in blue tarps and felt very isolated at night without another unit nearby. I never even saw the rest of the campus where a pool is supposed to be located. The room is a little sparse and really needed a bit of art or something to break up all the white.

it has his own entrance to the lagoon, so it’s very private and has everything to enjoy it. the staff is very nice and always willing to help. You have to walk about 200 m to the lagoon from the room, that’s not the problem, the problem is that the road has rocks and it’s very dark at night. if you use the other entry, you have to walk about 600 m on the highway, so it’s a little bit dangerous.

The linen needed to be replaced when we checked in a they were not clean, the linen was replaced immediately when requested, but getting a clean set to start with would be the general expectation. Also, the AC unit makes a lot of noise when running which makes sleeping a little difficult for light sleepers
