They should update their website because there’s a difference between the photos an One night got to stay in the room facing the Lagoon and wake up to a beautiful view

The room was small and I felt a bit trapped, I thought I would get a balcony or a window but it was not the case. Not enough pillow. And water pupm machine is very loud

Not worth the money or the view. Rude and unhelpful staff members during the day “forgot” to mention to me that after extending my stay for 2 more nights and charged me almost 500 $ more than listed at booking.com (I booked there for the first night). On Sunday I invited 4 friends over to enjoy some peace and quiet. They turned on horrible music (for my liking) and didn’t turn it down really, so we left. When I asked how long it would last the young woman at the front desk just said 7 pm. Also another couple told me the night before, the staff members had a party and were very loud even late at night. For paying such a high price for some peace and quiet this isn’t the place. NOT recommended. Also the sink broke and I could not use it for over 24 hours, they offered me another room, but the balcony had some bird shit and a funny smell. Also one night I came across a cockroach (which is normal in Mexico but still). Didn’t happen at 2 other places that I stayed in Bacalar. The only positive thing I can say that the night shift guy was very nice and helpful. Doesn’t make up for all the other things though.

The location is fantastic; waking up to a view of the lake is wonderful! The lake features a small pier covered with artificial grass that has a moldy smell and attracts mosquitoes. It would be beneficial to remove this grass to improve cleanliness and eliminate the unpleasant odor, especially since this area is a prime location for the hotel.

Free paddleboards, on the water with excellent swimming. There was a group of about 15-20 people on a tour there when we arrived. Our bed was dirty upon arriva. The sheets were stained which were replaced but they seemed annoyed by us letting them know. The roofelt very cramped with one wondow very high up. We were offered a possible room upgrade which never happened. Pretty sure we were the only people there as well. Lights in the room were cool white making it feel stale nor "homey". Could use updating and decor. The potential is there and the location and yard/lagoon are very nice.

Guadalupe and all the staff were excellent for suggestions and calling our cabs for us to venture out. And even the hotel owner pick up from the bus terminal as our flight in was canceled due to tropical cyclone and had to take a bus from Cancun to Bacalar (5.5 hours) couldn’t reach the hotel as phones and electricity was affected, but owner(Alejandro ) reached out on IG and came to pick us up at 11:30 at night. The first night there was no electricity due storm which was not the hotel’s fault but by the time we came back from site seeing the power on and they even upgraded us to a room with a view of lagoon for the same price. I was totally impressed by their hospitality and service!!! Please go and you will love this great hotel Nothing

Great location right on lagoon. We had a balcony room with lagoon view. The view was breathtaking. Nice lawn area leading to boat dock with lawn chairs and hammocks. Decent breakfast of yogurt, fruits, toast. It was loud at times. Could hear tv from room 3 doors away and had to complain to front desk. Hotel had kayaks and paddle boards available but not at no charge for guests. Most other hotels offered these as an amenity.

Great setting is the biggest plus of this hotel. It has its own access to the lagoon, which was awesome. It's located quite far from the city center though, so I'd recommend to have its own car if you're planning to explore the city more. Our room had also a lovely balcony with a hammock There was a constant problem with water pressure in the pipes, so taking a shower and even flushing the toilet was a problem often. Overall, the bathroom was quite dirty and shower a bit gross.

Views Poo service. Expensive for just a view. Nor recommended

Out of the surrounding properties this is from our perspective the one that provides the largest sites per number of guests. The hotel offers a large area with gras to hang around, several hammocks and sundbeds etc. We have seen other hotels, much more pricy ones, that had much smaller space to hang out at the lagoon. The garden is also very clean and well maintained. We had a room with garden view and even though the rooms are very basic in terms of equipment it was furnished in a somewhat stylish way that made us feel comfortable. It is a very relaxed and chilled atmosphere and we really liked our stay there. We can recommend this property to anyone who does not need much luxury in their room and wants to enjoy a good time directly at the lagoon in a quiet environment. Given that it's roghly a 30 min walk into the center of Bacalar, we believe they should provide some bikes or the like. Other hotels in the neighborhood did that. W/o those is it very difficult to get around if you don't come by car. The breakfast, as many others already said, is a bit limited but was fine for us (you can make a bowl with fruits, yogurt and granola). What is, however, a negative point that they ask you to clean your dishes yourself after the breakfast - while the staff at the reception was just sitting there for ages checking their smartphone.

Great location next to the lagune. Room was like a garage. Staff not interested
-
Tolle Lage, No information at check in that you need to asks for room cleaning (so they didn’t make up the room next day) or beach towels (so I didn’t get any) . And seriously, you need to clean your dishes after breakfast?! At room prices over 2000mxp??

We loved our room looking over the lagoon! Such an amazing spot right on the water. Only a short walk from town. Air Con and TV with Netflix in the room also was nice to escape the heat. Breakfast was very basic, but a nice touch. Kayaks are for rent when many other properties include free kayak use as part of stay. Disappointing that it’s cheaper to use the facilities down the road, than here when we have paid for 3 night’s accommodation.

The staff was amazing, the view is awesome. all perfect

The staff was amazing. Extremely helpful for both small tips and helping booking activities and so on. The room was beatiful, I strongly recommend to pay the extra for the laguna views. Breathtaking to wakeup to that views. Excelent value for money for the places that are in the same location. Nothing

Amazing location and lagoon access! Very good room, though we were missing our hammock :( Breakfast was decent. We thought we’d be able to use or rent paddle boards, but this was possible sadly :(
