Amazing place, the staff is very friendly, we had access to their kayaks for free by the lagoon. The rooms are very nicely designed. 10/10

Rustic, peaceful, charming, relaxing. Way more laid back than the coastal resorts. The owner and staff are very friendly.

Great surroundings and terrace. Close to lake and good restaurant. You're in the middle of the nature with lots of animals. Not that much privacy with parts of the window that had no shutters, with the room next to a path. Also in the shower another room could see right into the shower.

Everything. Location, jungle, lake access Just the rain!

Pillow is very hard - only uncomfortable part of our stay. In such a nice hotel, it would be great to have 2 pillows each on the bed, one harder and one softer.

Excellent

The room was comfortable but it could use some shelves for placing clothes and hooks or a rack in the bathroom sink for hanging up the wet towels.

Peaceful, entertaining and very welcoming. The kayaking, the swimming. Bird watching and playing chess in the play room. Enjoying a good meal in the restaurant with great hosts.

The breakfast was outstanding (as always), the rooms were perfectly clean and tidy, and the grounds were well maintained. I love the location, the quietness of the surroundings, and the availability of kayaks for use. They were also kind enough to let us stay an extra 30 minutes as we were running very behind that morning. That was a very nice thing they did for us that they didn't have to do! We all really appreciated that. This is my third time staying here, and I thought there would be some acknowledgement that I'd stayed there before (this is what I've experienced at other places where I'm a repeat customer), but there wasn't. Not a big deal, just something I noted. Also, there were no blankets in the room - the sheet was okay, but it actually got a little chilly that night and a blanket would have been greatly appreciated.

The staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and accommodating. The kayak being included was awesome. The common room was great also at night to hang and play games ( giant backgammon board/table). The location is love a quiet in nature and all the buildings are separate which I loved . The food was ok, the breakfast that was included was a little basic . There were a few leaks in the common room from the rain.

It was in a very natural setting with a private dock and swimming area If you don’t have a car, it can be limiting because it is a 10-15 minute drive into town
-
The property had plenty of space to make you feel like you’re in nature away from everyone. The long dirt road that leads to the property was about a 3 minute drive from the main road, takes a while getting in and out of there. If you plan on staying there, definitely rent a car or you’ll spend a lot on taxis

Gorgeous eco cabins nestled in the jungle 10 minutes from the town of Bacalar with lagoon access for a romantic sunrise.. All perfect

Super nice host, comfortable bedrooms, nicer than in the pictures. Really nice to stay in the middle of the jungle and very easy access to the lagoon. 10 min way from central bacalar (need to go by car). Breakfast could be more diverse and with more healthy options specially for kids (eg no sugar yogurt).

Very good

Beautiful location in the forest with great gardens you can do a walking tour in. Very nice buildings and access to the lagoon. Good food in restaurant fairly priced. Reception staff could have been more helpful with bags and getting a replacement fan. The fans in the room are not great so can get hot. Okay on April but I imagine very hot in the summer.

We liked everything about this stay! I wish we had more than 1 night there. The villa is located in pictures place between green rainforest trees and it has all the amenities we needed. The bathroom was inside our villa and there were mosquito net on the bed, that we rally appreciated. We did not know that it did not have conditioning and glass windows (it has the mosquito net and wooden windows instead) but it was okay for our family and our little one (15 month old) in the bedroom we had big fan that was good for keeping comfortable temp. The only thing I would recommend for host is to get some glass jars for guests in the room, for visitors definitely have a big water bottle, you would need it for this trip anyway to stay hydrated.

This place is simply amazing: great spacious design villas in the jungle with amazing bathrooms and lovely patios. The restaurant food is great. The walking tour in the jungle was an unforgettable amazing experience. The pier on the lake is relaxing and peaceful and no boats are passing so very quiet. I would consider having the bar / restaurant open for lunch too.
