Apparthotel Steiger Bad Schandau

Spacious and clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt im Aparthotel Bad Schandau. Die Lage war für uns hervorragend – fast direkt an der Elbe und perfekt für Spaziergänge sowie Fahrradausflüge. Auch als Ausgangspunkt, um den Nationalpark zu entdecken und Unternehmungen zu starten, war es ideal. Für uns als zwei große Familien war es besonders praktisch, zwei separate Apartments zu haben. Das Frühstücksbuffet bot eine große Auswahl, einiges davon sogar hausgemacht. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

No fridge in the room. The cattle for tea doesn't have a proper place, its uncomfortable to use it. I would keep it at least on the desk.

Fairly large size of the rooms. Free parking in underground garage. Good breakfast included in price. The kitchen extractor hood smelled of old grease since the filter had not been changed for some time.

The breakfast was exceptional. The interaction we had with the staff was good. The stay was stressful. While the property sent us an info email they neglected to send two very essential pieces of information: the room number and the WiFi information. This lack of information created issues. We could not tell what the room number was. We had to try our key on each door during a thunderstorm. This was a problem as the doors were located outside. We tried to get a hold of someone, but we didn’t have any WiFi information so we had to activate our data plan. Once we called we only had a recording which we could not understand. We would have left for a local hotel, but our luggage had been put in the room earlier that day. We eventually were able to find the room with the assistance of a fellow guest. The process took about 45 minutes. We didn’t use the spa elements in the end due to the weather and lack of information . Regarding comfort, the rooms were clean and spacious, but the bed was uncomfortable. Maybe we were spoiled by the much more affordable, comfortable, and accommodating lodging we had in Prague.

The breakfast was simple but good enough. I liked the mini omelettes with vegetables. The apartment was very spacious, the interior of the main room is nice with mountain / wood motives. The parking is convenient. - No reception - No way to connect to the staff, we tried to call the phone number but nobody picked it up at 6PM on Sunday - It would be nice to repeat in English your messages either in phone auto response service and in booking.com. Most of the tourists were not from Germany. I could translate the checkin message because I had internet but I didn't understand a bit of the phone auto response. - It took a while to understand how to self checkin - We expected some baby room accessories we saw on the family room photos (staffed animals, board games, books). It was a little bit disappointing to find it is not like on the photos. - Some sweet pastry for breakfast would be nice

Big apartment, spacious and clean. Private parking. We were 2 families- 8 people in total but had only one bathroom although in the booking details it said 2. The double bad in the single room was very shaky and noisy. Each time one of us moved - the hole house could hear

Lots of space. Great location for a group of friends or family.

Very friendly staff at breakfast. It was nice that you could indicate when new towels were needed: when coming back a staple of fresh towels was waiting in front of the appartement door. Sauna and swimming pool are nice to relax in the evening. It is pity that there is no possibility to drop off luggage on the day of arrival, before check-in. People arriving by night train should therefore use other facilities to drop of luggage in Bad Schandau. Wifi was not very stable.

Spacious 2-bedroom apartment, clean and beautifully designed. Central location close to everything, free parking. Nice hotel

Expensive but similar range to many other places in the location. Not many restaurants in the area but there is a supermarket and kitchen in the apartment.

Check-in was via key card and was very easy and staff were extremely helpful with our luggage transport. Thank you to Sven and Heike for their fast response and professional assistance . Very good communication. Outstanding breakfast.

Perfect location for visiting Sächsische Schweiz. Easy self check-in, parking space under the building, outdoor pool, very nice breakfast, spacious apartments. Close to busses, supermarkets, ferries. Wi-Fi is really bad.

The location is good, checking in is easy The breakfast was very basic, the pool is much smaller than you think from the pictures, there is no sauna or wellness, in contrast of what is advertised. There is no staff, nobody to answer questions. The room didn't have WiFi.
