Hotel Elbresidenz an der Therme Bad Schandau

Hotel was beautiful, the terrace restaurant , hotel bar, very nice bartender I visited 3 nights, ticket to the spa/pool and then wellness center close by was wonderful. Breakfast was amazing with so many choices. I was there when the symphony was rehearsing all week and I loved to hear them practicing when I was walking around. Would have loved to stay longer. Just little to warm in my room-it was the beginning of a heatwave.

Die Wellness area war sehr angenehm und der freie Zugang zur Terme einen Steinwurf entfernt erweitert das Angebot noch einmal. Ich verstehe nicht wie eine Matratze so durchgelegen sein kann. Bei einem 10€ Hostel in Indonesien wäre meine Erwartung besser als was wir bekommen haben - bei einem 5 Sterne Hotel fehlen mir wirklich die Worte. Ich habe am Ende auf dem Boden geschlafen weil dieser angenehmer war als die Matratze

Dirty beds, woke up with a rash

The hotel was incredibly clean! Compared to typical European hotels, the rooms were surprisingly spacious. It’s located in an excellent, quiet, and peaceful area—perfect if you're looking to relax and unwind. The pool was pristine, and the breakfast was honestly one of the best and most complete spreads I’ve ever had. Overall, I highly recommend staying here!

The dinner wasn't worth the money.

This was a great place! The staff, especially Tran Bao and Pavel were awesome. Loved the spa, more than the Toskana one actually. Everything was great.

We spent 3 nights in late February and loved everything. The whole facility, including the room and wellness zone, had a fresh look, was clean, and overall well-kept. The breakfast area and food selection were great. Very convenient location when traveling by train from Berlin — the boat departs directly from the train station and takes you straight to the hotel in just 10 minutes. Also, the hotel is a great base for hiking in the nearby national park, as you can take the historic tram to the trailheads, and the ticket is included with the guest card. No kettle in the room for making tea.

All was good. BUT, I requested a room on the high floor and received a room on the 1st floor. a bit of disappointment...

The breakfast buffet was superb. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The concierge was knowledgeable and helpful about walks, the therme and things to do and how to get there. The bar in the evening was great. Happy hour for aperitifs with a wide range. The hotel gave a free local pass for transport and free ‘coin’ token and towels for the spa. We had a lovely stay. Searching for something…. The piped music in the common area downstairs seemed to lack feeling. Some great songs, but ouch, painful to hear!

Beautiful stylish and elegant

Great breakfast, great facilities, cleaning and everything does help to get a proper rest and relaxation. I have been there for a second time and Im sure I will be back, its a great place to unwind and recharge your batteries. hard to find anything but in terms of suggestions, I guess having a kettle with tea in a room would be a blessing, not to take runs to the bar

The hotel is wonderful, and a wonderful deal by the standard of comparable hotels, at least for North Americans. Its historic buildings have been sensitively redone, with airy modern public spaces. Individual rooms are capacious, high- ceilinged, with luxurious bath, powerful air conditioning, private balcony overlooking gardens and river. Immaculately serviced. Very nice on-site restaurant with lovely, tree-shaded river terrace and sweet staff. We took every dinner there for 4 nights (usually choosing the buffet option) which is a great option given Bad Schandau’s lack of dining venues, and were never disappointed. Likewise, given this picturesque but small spa town’s limited parking, the 18 Euro daily hotel garage parking option is actually pretty reasonable. Really nothing. The Toskana thermals baths next door, to which hotel guests have complementary access, is pretty tired looking, but would be good for keeping kids cool and occupied on one of the sultry days this region can have. Also, if you’re going to do real walking/ hiking among the amazing sandstone formations of the national park behind the town, go to Tourist Info and get a real map— the one the hotels hand out is worthless.

The service was very good. Everyone was very attentive. The room was very clean, everything was in good condition. The breakfast offered a wide range of options and was delicious. The entrance to the thermal bath made it exceptional value for money. The rooms are getting to a point where they could do with a refurbishment at some point in the near future.

Lovely location with very friendly and efficient staff ?? Great facilities with a big swimming pool and fabulous spa area. Bar was a nice area and great cocktails served by knowledgeable staff ??? The therme complex Toscana was a great addition too. N/A

Beautiful project in a very pretty location on the Elbe River. Great breakfast in very comfortable dining room. The pool, spa and sauna were great for relaxing. Staff in spa were not interested in giving information Dinner menu was basic unless you had the buffet
