Hotel Elbpromenade

Comfortable, well run, and clean, with a great restaurant. Distance from ferry dock to cross river to train station. The half mile or so is certainly walkable, as we did it several times, but became less enjoyable each time.

I was travelling by bike, it was good to have a garage where to put the bike overnight. Very clean room and bathroom. Pretty good breakfast. Small room. In my trip I had passed through Czechia, paying almost half as much, for a 3x bigger room (though not as elegant).

Stuff is really very nice and helpfull! Thank you! Rooms are quite spacious, beds are comfortable. Everything clean and OK. Unfortunately, the rooms are facing very noisy road with heavy traffic. I felt like at a pit stop on the motorway. Moreover, there are no normal curtains on the windows and street lights and car lights shine straight into your eyes, when you are lying on your bed. Instead curtains, there are metal blinds, like in shops. They are openwork and dont stop the lights from outside and it is hard and noisy to open and close them. The hotel is just on the river bank, but the building is perpendicular to the river. There is a terrace facing the river, but in fact this is the restaurant and hotel guests can not use it, unless they order something from the menu - drinks (I mean coffee, softdrinks) are quite expensive :). Maybe you can stay there on your way, but it isn't a good place for relaxing stay. The price is also too high in relation to the comfort.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Easy to find as property is on the main road. Be aware of over speeding. Speed camera is in the yard of the hotel. I noticed that cars passing by were taken several times (speed limit 30 km/h). Breakfast is not very rich but still sufficient to start a day. We were advised about hiking possibilities while having just 2 days of stay. Information was very helpful. We can recommend hotel restaurant. Meals were really good and beer was cold (indeed 3 large beer's :)). Affordable prices. View from a balcony opened to Elbe with passing by ships. The place is worth coming back. The room size was not what we expected. Two people with luggage on the floor hardly maneuvered inside. Beds were slightly hard for our habit.
