staff was VERY welcoming and helpful throughout. Location was ideal and still quiet. Breakfast was lovely. Room was as expected - simple but clean. Mattresses were firm. We were happy.

Nice room in the pedestrian area of Bergamo. Comfortable bed. Warm shower. Excellent breakfast. It’s in the pedestrian area, so there is a 250 meter cobblestone walk to the hotel. Il Sole, at present, does not have a check-in, which is at another hotel down the street

The location was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast were good. The room was clean My room was located opposite the outside terrace dining area. This made it very noisy, especially on weekend evenings. The drape over the window did not close, so there was light emanating from the terrace. The bathroom was small, even by Italian standards

The location could not be better for a stay in the high city in Bergamo. Great breakfast, with good selection. The hotel is walkable to everything you want to see in Bergamo, and close to restaurants, the historic churc.

Proximity to piazza & reasonable price.Host very helpful. All staff are friendly. No AIr conditioning, Beds very firm. Shower too small.

Location of hotel is great. Bang in the middle of the citta alta. The breakfast was very basic. Would have liked some cheese. The tv didn't have an english channel but it wasn't a problem as we were not in the room a lot.

Lovely people who run it. Location was absolute perfection! We had a triple room and it was larger than expected and spotlessly clean. Restaurant served good food. There was really very little not to like. If I was being super critical, then I would mention that the shower over the bath was not very good. It wasn’t a power shower plus wouldn’t stay up and kept sliding down so you couldn’t wash your hair easily standing up

Location and clean comfortable room, friendly and attentive staff There was a lot of noise during the night, within the building. Loud banging noises which woke us up. Curtains were too thin to keep out the sunlight which also woke us early. The breakfast was a little stale.
