Convenient location, clean room, friendly staff and free parking.

The room was filthy (smelled like mold, dusty) and the TV did not work nor did some of the lights. The shower had a weird slimy feeling on the floor. The night I stayed there I asked the front desk how I reach out for partial refund for the state of the room and the TV not working and she told me to go through the Expedia app and I did yet no one has gotten back to me. Their "breakfast" consisted of old fruit and they ran out of milk. Overall super unsatisfied with my stay. For $218 a night I expect a room that doesn't smell like mold, walls that are not damaged, TVs that don't work, and have dust-covered lamps that don't work.

Couldn't get sleep due to alot of noise. Not sure what was going on. I called front desk around 2am because there was still alot of noise. Called into office the following day and spoke with someone who had no customer service skills. He was no help at all just like the lady at front desk at 2am.

Everything was as advertised. The breakfast could have been better.

It's located in the heart of Berkeley, easily within walking distance of both the downtown (which can arrived at via the BART) and the college campus. The staff were all great. I was a little disappointed by the free 'breakfast.' basically toast, oatmeal and other processed food. The second day they did have some fruit. The room was small and relatively clean but definitely showing its age. I enjoyed my stay.

Not a five-star hotel, but fine for an overnight stay. The room was clean and functional. One of the USB plugs did not work, but there were others that did. Location is on the edge of the downtown district, but still within walking distance of UCB. Nation’s burger location next door is a bonus for a quick meal.

Parking lot was easy to access and there were spots in front of our rooms. Bed was comfortable. Having a mini fridge really helped. Appreciated the breakfast selection despite the tiny office space it was provided in. The two handicapped parking spaces were at a 90-degree angle to each other, and when a large truck was parked in one, it blocked my SUV in the other, which was really scary. The beds in my mom's room were so close to the desk/dresser that we couldn't move the desk chair past them to give my mom a place to sit on the side the bed where her walker fit. We both did not care for the fan being always on in the bathroom with no switch to turn it off. In my room, the seal of the floor between bedroom and bathroom was broken all across the doorway, which felt like a hazard. The alarm clock in my room not only had the wrong time (off by 5 or 6 hours), but it was in military time and couldn't be changed by the guest (trust me: I tried!), so when I realized I didn't have my phone charger with me and couldn't get into my mom's room while she was asleep because my copy of her key card stopped working, I couldn't set an alarm for myself (there was no one in the office, either). This was my fault, but having a functional alarm clock is basic. Having an updated clock with USB ports is now expected at motels, and I'd love a universal charger to be included! :-)

Staff, cleanliness, location, comfort, safety, everything. It was in a perfect location. Clean room. Toiletries weren’t cheap. The staff were very nice and friendly.

Train was delayed. We phoned that we'd be late and were assured we'd be able to check in until 5am. Location was very convenient to downtown Berkeley. Groceries and restaurants nearby. Address was wrong on Maps. Driver delivered us to the wrong hotel at first. It's not a hotel, it's a rundown motel. Nightstand electric outlets/USB did not work. No bedside lamps. Only harsh overhead lighting. Room very dark in daylight. Cold shower any time of day or night, even if we let the water run. Toilet roll holder slanted downward, paper kept falling off. No towel racks. Harsh towels. Terrible breakfast. Room key stopped working. Had to get new one. Som said it happened to him three times. rude desk clerks. Noisy guests outside. Rates excessive for quality. Does not deserve Best Western label. Terrible!

Bads were comfortable and clean. Not up to best western standards. Not a hotel it is motel. Breakfast was terrible! Our toilet seat was broken with one holding bolt missing so vary hard to sit on seat without it falling off.

There was also NO front desk staff before 7 am. So I had to call them later for them to email me the receipt because I checked out at about 6 am. Breakfast was minimal and all items (except fruit) had very high sugar. There was also only one type of fruit each morning: either banana or apple.

The front desk guy was super helpful and nice and was able to attend to my concerns.
-
The staff is very good. Too much noise!
-
Near where I needed to be Rooms were too small, filled with furniture
-
Reasonably priced for being so close to CS Berkeley.
-
Not a single thing. This is a scam business.
-
Breakfast wasn’t what I expected but I did enjoy the yogurts The shower does not have continuous hot water. If the water gets too hot and u turn it down, and try to turn the water back up again, it won’t get hot again I found mold by the mini fridge. The blankets on the bed are hella thin
