The indoor pool area where the steam room was very dirty, there was lime scale and dirt all over there was lots of dirt and debris around the indoor pool too it was a let down really as everything else was good.

The room was borderline a suite, it was huge and spotlessly clean. The hotel itself is so nice and looks opulent. It's the best hotel we've ever stayed in, in Blackpool (we're here multiple times a year). Nothing we didn't like.

staff members: friendly courteous and gentle. The second bed mattress was a little old.

Comfortable bar area with great view. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Some areas in need of upgrade but this appeared to be ongoing. Lift to the south end of the property was faulty. My elderly parents got stuck in the lift for an hour during our stay. The staff and manager did however react quickly to give them assurance and get an engineer out asap.

Room was lovely,Never used indoor pool, bar food was lovely, Had early check in at 1,Bedding on floor outside each door,Sorry but very strong smell of urine on all floors ,Lift was continually out of order,Inside pool rather dark,,and couldn't find outside pool till a nice member of staff informed us it was over the road outside hotel,,had a look and was like a private party,For some reason on the photos i thought it was connected to the hotel ,,Also checkin desk asked for £100 damage deposit,as well as payment 320 for room, must of missed that on booking,,Breakfast table way to small for 4 people,2nd morning a lovely member of staff let us have a booth which had much more space

Fantastic break here, the customer service from the staff was excellent a special mention must be given to Louise and the restaurant team who went above and beyond to ensure all our dietary requests were met.Our room was clean, airy and spacious, the facilities were good the children enjoyed the pools, the children's entertainment was excellent.

Location on the seafront The heat is unbearable all over the hotel, it is impossible to sleep in the heat. The hotel needs to invest in air conditioning as I’ve been here in summer and winter time and the issue remains

Very clean, very helpful and friendly staff, good location. The evening meals was a bit bland, and the bed was uncomfortable.

When we arrived and checkout the same day staff where very lovely and friendly. When we arrived at the hotel there was people smoking in the door way which we didn't like. When we got through everyone I was expecting the check in desk to be When you walked through the door. You have to walk through the bar where it was very busy and loud. We felt really uncomfortable and also had alot of luggage and it was quite difficult to squeeze past people. We finally got to the check in desk and staff where lovely. I didn't like that you have to pay a deposit for your room. I was charged £50 pound. This was our last day of our holiday and wanted to check into the doric before we left as we had seen really good reviews and walk throughs on YouTube. I wish I had read the reviews first ? When we got to the room there where kids running up and down the corridor. They went into the room opposite us ? We went in our room and locked the door. The room was lovely but it had a strong smell like old musty carpets or something. I opened the window. The bathroom was nice but had a smell like drains in there. Unfortunately there was no window to air it out. We found a used tissue behind the bed aswell. The beds where not comfy at all. The floors where very noisy and creaky. I know it's an old building but it was very loud. This was ever step you took in the room. We could hear the people walking in the room next door. The kids where still running up and down the corridor screaming, laughing and banging their door. There where cobwebs above my side of the bed. Not many plug sockets in the room. Only one by the tv and 2 above the dressing table. The last thing that I noticed when I was laying down was a big gap under the door. I could see the corridors carpet. I bent down and saw someone's feet walking past. I felt really uncomfortable. Ours was (room 77). I put a towel infront of it but still felt uncomfortable. We was there less than an hour and we just grabbed our bags and checked out. I really wouldn't recommend this hotel.
