Tru by Hilton Minneapolis Mall of America

Excellent stay. We had a group of eight adults in individual rooms and the evening check-in staff was very helpful and patient in getting everyone situated, even helped us with dinner recommendations and offered the shuttle service to get to our choice. Plenty of free amenities that aren't on the property description - outdoor lounge areas, pool table, bags set, indoor reading nooks and lots of charging ports available. Workout room is well stocked and clean, all of the equipment in good working order with multiples of each cardio machine. Wonderful breakfast, better than the usual powdered eggs and hard biscuits. Can't wait to stay again and hope to make this one a regular stop!

Clean room, friendly staff, great value!

Great hotel overall, but bad location directly under MSP's takeoff flight path. Jet noise about every five minutes. Great hotel if you're on a budget but be prepared for the airplane noise.

When registering online for a room at Tru, the registration on Expedia did not specifically indicate the hotel was Tru nor did it indicate it was Home2Suites. So luckily I remembered the name of the reservation. However it was confusing to find location. Reservation on Expedia did not offer address or directions.

Room was more austere than I remember, even the desk on which to work barely fits both my laptop and a place to lay my papers. Breakfast was not inviting, semi-warm, and not satisfying. Coffee is good !

Very conveniently located, hotel was clean and looked 'pretty'. Breakfast wasn't well managed, everyone wants the breakfast sandwiches and there wasn't really enough to go around. Also the yogurt toppings were out by 8.

Great room. Obviously airplane noise. Good experience. Like the hot breakfast & free shuttle.

We had a nice stay. Loved the weight room. Had to ask for cleaning wipes both times I went though. We had one “off” staff interaction, but everyone was nice and helpful overall. Good breakfast too. Breakfast staff kept the space clean and stocked. Shoutout to Alex the shuttle bus driver.

Avoid at all costs. Hotel pool was super dirty, the water was cloudy. Half the breakfast items like the pancake machine didn’t work and the waffle machine wasn’t even out until the last day we were there. Someone else’s hairs were in our shower floor and in the towels. No pressure in the water for showering. We literally had some girl knocking on doors at 4am for over 10 minutes and woke up our whole family. We called the front desk and the girl that answered did absolutely nothing so we had to go out there and yell at them to quit. Stay somewhere else that appreciates their guests.

Everything was amazing from Mike the night front desk agent, we checked in late at night and was very helpful. The breakfast selection was very good, the hotel shuttle were on time and flawless. The room was very spacious, have stayed in the area at various hotels but this one has been the best one. It’s easily accessible to the Mall of Americas, train line and other items. Highly recommend

Fridge did not work. Very clean and minimalistic. Too little table space for a family of four. Even desk is too small to easily use laptop and notebook. Fridge was only cool when placing our yogurts, cheese, and other food inside. But warm by morning, so all food spoiled ! Not our best stay.

Floor was very dirty when I got there but after asking to clean the floors they great.
