Beautiful property, excellent location, unfortunately restaurant/bar too crowded and front desk team unhelpful.

What’s missing to make this hotel into a great one is training the staff to be present, polished and helpful. We arrived to No one to give us a hand with the luggage’s. There is No concierge onsite and we are told to call an offsite concierge with an incomprehensible accent. The beautiful restaurant similarly is staffed with minimally trained hostess or waiters. We will come back to this hotel and simply eat elsewhere and carry our own suitcases as the appeal of the park and location is greater than its failings.

The Newbury is fabulously located across the street from the Public Garden and steps away from the amazing shopping area of Newbury St. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Everything about The Newbury was absolutely lovely from the beautifully restored building, amazing reception, concierge, housekeeping teams who couldnt do enough to make your stay welcoming and perfect to the flowers and decor. The bar areas and Contessa are fabulous too. Highly recommended - mos especially for its location in Back Bay / Beacon Hill. The whole area is beautifully kept, clean, safe and full of life. We just loved it. Nothing. Honestly it was perfect in every way. I'd love to visit in the autumn or Christmas

I truly enjoyed the accommodations and location!

The staff were polite and helpful. The room was ok. Not as good as the photos and there was quite a lot of wall paper peeling up at the edges. The bar was ok but again, not as good as the marketing photos. The whole experience was fine but for the price paid it definitely didn’t deliver what was expected. It was easily double what the room was actually worth, in my opinion.
