Aloft by Marriott Buffalo Downtown

The rooftop was nice, and service was good. Rooms were clean. It seemed outdated and some things weren’t working, like the outlet at the bathroom. The front desk waived my parking fee.

The property itself is a nice hotel, clean, and comfortable. The staff are indifferent... my flight had been cancelled the day of travel so I was not able to arrive and check in on my reserved day. I communicated this to the hotel but instead of cancelling my reservation for the night someone at the hotel checked me in when I was not even there. $500 for an empty room and no sleep (I was still on the plane). Some shady dealings going on here.

The hotel was nice, but the club music on the rooftop bar playing until 2 AM kept me wide awake. Not somewhere I will stay again just because of the noise.

We were able to get an early check in, and the front desk staff was always friendly. A few times I asked for a specific number of towels and wash clothes and was brought the incorrect item and number. Parking was also a pain as I had to drive up to the 6th floor to park. Overall the property could be cleaner and better taken care of. The balcony has so much potential but it is clear that no one has attempted to maintain it.

The stay was rocky from the start, the staff was very rude. Called the front desk a couple different times with no help. The food isn’t available all day. When we asked about food the front desk said “you’re calling the front desk.” The staff ruined this stay.

Great place to stay, but there is a club on top of the hotel. Hotel does give you ear plugs. Great scenery as well.
