Emir

I enjoyed staying at the hotel. Located in the historical neighborhood, in the renovated old building, the hotel has lots of artefacts from the past that made you feel cosy, as if staying at the elderly relatives. The room was warm and looked very authentic to Bukhara. The breakfast served in the morning had different vegetable, egg and sweet options.

The hotel was accommodating when realising that my elderly mother would be better being on the ground floor. The location is great, within a stone's throw from the main square in Bukhara's old town. The host was also helpful with carrying our bags when leaving, given that it is not always easy for cars to drive up every very narrow street in the old town. The breakfast wasn't great.

Amazing location, lovely historic property, and terrific staff. Vladimir, the manager, was incredibly helpful to me. My glasses broke while I was staying at the property and he made it his business to get them repaired. He did this on what was probably one of the hottest days of the summer and without asking for any payment (of course I forced him to take something for his trouble)! He has the gift of appearing when you might be in need of something and being invisible when you are desiring privacy. As a female traveling independently, I found the Emir to be a very comfortable place to stay.

We loved the spacious room, which was full of character and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was also large, clean and had plenty of hot water. The property itself is charming with its lovely courtyards. The breakfast was good. The location is perfect for sightseeing and easy access to the lively centre of town with lots of great restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful - we really appreciated them filling up our water bottles as we are avoiding using single-use plastic bottles to reduce our impact on the environment. It was unfortunate that they didn't pay attention to our request regarding the packed breakfast for our early morning train trip. We had requested some cheese, bread, and fruit and emphasised the need for it to be vegetarian. Instead, we had some sort of meat sandwiches, and everything was wrapped in clingfilm, including the hard-boiled eggs. We were unable to eat it. If it hadn't been for this mishap, we would have given the hotel 10/10.

Emir is picturesque boutique hotel. The location is right in the heart of old city of Bukhara. It is beautiful and the staff is great. It was my birthday and I even got a special gift from the team. The breakfast is fabulous, even for a vegetarian like me they had ample options. Since I was with my partner, we would have loved a queen size bed instead of two single beds, but we pushed them together and it was all good.

Superb

The hotel is in an excellent lication. All the main historical objects are concentrated around and can easily be reached on foot. The interior if the hotel has a traditional decor. There is a inner courtyard where you can spend your time. Our room was spacious, very clean, cozy and with very comfortable beds, which is rare in Uzbekistan. The stuff were very friendly, kind and helpful. I am especially grateful to the hotel manager Vladimir, who personally took care of me and also took me to the hospital because I had health problems. I thank him very much for his care and help. I definitely recommend this hotel. -

One of the two beds was a bit saggy and I would love to have hand lotion available in rooms

Very central, with kind and attentive staff. The rooms were pretty and nicely decorated with lots of local artisanal crafts. Some renovations were underway when we where there. With a few more decorative touches to the inner courtyards this place will be amazing

Absolutely beautiful stay at Hotel Emir. The room was incredible, spacious, well preserved heritage detail with modern bathroom. I had been unwell with flu symptoms so wasn't too keen to head out and they allowed us to bring in our own food for a picnic lunch on their lovely table and chairs in their courtyard and they helped with cooking utensils/plates. The courtyard was a lovely place to be in. It was my birthday during the stay and the owner went to the extra effort with some wine and chocolate which was very kind. Breakfast was great everyday - fresh cherries, eggs and some yummy pastries also. We couldn't be more happy with our stay - thank you for your generosity. nothing

The friendly staff and the superb location are the highlights of my stay at Emir. We arranged a wonderful tourist guide through Emir, too - we are thankful immensely for that! The best guide ever!

Superb

This was my second stay at Emir. It’s a wonderful family-run hotel in the old Jewish quarter of Bukhara. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are very helpful. The location is perfect - close to Lyabi Hauz but still quiet. Nothing!

Beautiful rooms and lovely hosts. Highly recommend! The only thing was that the breakfast was a bit bland and some of the towels had stains.
