Very clean spacious and friendly staff

An absolutely gorgeous location. While there were other people staying there (including a yoga retreat), I rarely encountered anyone, which made it even more special. The pool is huge, surrounded by tropical foliage in an abundance of color. There are paths that wind through the property, each turn featuring something more beautiful than the last. More birds than I could possibly count and monkeys playing in the trees. Definitely go see the Goddess Tree. Over 350 years old, it’s well worth visiting. The room itself was very spacious with a cleverly placed closet/divider which gave extra privacy if you were sharing the room. The bed was comfortable. The room included a mini fridge which I definitely made good use of. The A/C worked great, although one night I just used the ceiling fans. The terrace out front had comfortable chairs with outstanding views and there was even a clothesline to hang swimsuits. Breakfast (included) was a small buffet, but well stocked and tasted great. There is a spa offering massages, etc. but I didn’t avail myself, so can’t comment on it. The property is outside of town, about a 5 min drive or short bike ride. There are many great places to eat and the beach is an easy walk. This is the perfect location if you need to de-stress and soak up nature in a beautiful environment. If you want to party or be super close to town, then this would not be a good fit for you. The road coming to the property was quite bumpy and full of potholes. I did see an armadillo while driving on it though!

Lots of nature great breakfast large bedrooms near to the beach nice staff big bathrooms, but with 2 small shower spaces in each corner and 2 toilets next to each other, not the best for couples. Not many parking spaces

The pool is amazing. I’d recommend upgrading grading mattresses.

Nice hotel, very big garden, inside the forest. The beach is 2 minutes walk. Very nice sorrounding, you can feel yourself really in the nature. Very comfortable, big room, calm and sunshine. The host is very kind and helpful.

The nature surrounding and within the property is really worth checking out. The pool is clean and gorgeous. Clean pathways and lots of trees to admire. The center of town is 4km away from any nearby store. I had to call a cab to get there a few times. They didn't serve coffee all times of day, as a tico, this was disappointing they said coffee was for the morning time only....we are in Costa Rica its all day for us ticos ?. There is no microwave in the room, rather standard for hotel stays.

Beautiful garden, good location, nice concept. Some of the facilities have not been operating, but this probably only because of the time of our visit.

This is truly a Garden of Eden. Beautiful property, great owners, excellent free breakfast, amazing pool. Truly an Eco destination to watch birds and other animals. Short walk to secluded beach. If you must have A/C, this is not for you. If you don't eat Vegetarian, you need to leave hotel for your meals.

The breakfast and homemade bread were exceptional. The place is amazing, in the middle of the forest. The pool looks great, during the day is peaceful and you can be surrounded by nature, the staff is super nice ? you can take a walk there too which is nice, see birds, hear congo monkeys and see golden weaver spiders There is not much shadow around the pool making it difficult to stay longer. The walls are super thin between rooms making the sounds go through. I wouldn't recommend the place if you have kids for example or if you need to rest at night (it is a lottery as in all places what neighbors you will get)

We liked the secluded location in the middle of the jungle where we could watch monkeys and other animals. It was a peaceful and beautiful surrounding. It was also close to the big beach where swimming was not possible because of the strong rip tides. You can go in the water for a refreshment, but needed to be careful. Also, the breakfast, which was a buffet, was delicious, and a few things changed every day, which made it diversified. The staff was very friendly, too. We arrived early before noon and could already check in as the room was already cleaned. The big pool is a plus as well. The small road which you need to use to get to the resort is not well maintained and has lots of holes, which makes the drive very uncomfortable. You need to use the car to get to Cahuita because it's over 5 km away, and the resort doesn't offer bicycle rental, unfortunately. Furthermore, the fans in the room are not giving enough air movement for a cooling effect. They are not well positioned at the slanted ceiling, and almost no wind is arriving down in the room. That means it was very hot in the room, it was not possible to stay in it during the daytime. The room / bathroom itself was looking very tired and the furniture also, (Photos attached hole at fan, bathroom, lights...). The door to the bathroom was no door, it was a folding door that didn't block any noises. The water temperature in the shower was difficult to regulate because it was even too cold or too hot. Mosquitos could get in even though there were nets in front of the windows, but probably some of them need renewing.

The location is located in the middle of nature, it's like heaven. birds, flowers, monkeys, even if they were howling towards the sunrise, it was fascinating to know that you are in the middle of nature. Like on a safari. Only vegetarian breakfast, quite limited, but very tasty. The old furniture, the humidity in the room, it can be seen that it has not been restored for a long time. Certainly at the time when they were made they were gorgeous. The most disturbing was the fact that the owner didn't interact with the guests. He appeared in the room where breakfast was served, checked if there was enough food, but did not look at any guest, did not talk to anyone.

Hard to find with a bad taxi driver!!

The hotel is secluded in the jungle. Absolutely wonderful. An oasis of peace. Breakfast was very tasty too. The rooms are old and definitely needs some remodelling.

Great buffet style breakfast. Don't expect pancakes and waffles though! Amazing fresh fruit juices. Endless coffee. Dinners great too. I didn't need any but probably no alcohol served. Made me a packed breakfast on the last morning as I was leaving early Only suggestion I have is that they have more information on display about how to get out and about. The place is secluded and a distance from Cahuita. There again, it was so nice I didn't feel the need to go far. And perhaps a little information on how to make the shower run hot?

The setting is stunning, the gardens are beautiful, the pool is perfect, and so elegantly designed. As a bonus the tree next to the pool had a sloth who stayed all week, and another poolside tree was visited by a group of toucans every morning. We were looking for a visually beautiful, very chilled and comfortable start to our travels, and the Goddess Garden exceeded our hopes and expectations.
