Ixchel Beach Hotel

All good!

It was beach front hotel with staff available throughout. Also there was fully equipped gym. The hotel was walking distance from local food spots.

The beach club is crowded and there is almost no space between your seat and the neighbor s one. The drink de Cortesia that they offer you when you arrive was undrinkable ( there s sangria, margarita and another one I can t recall ).

Nice location and beach. Staff súper friendly!!!! No breakfast. For the privei was expecting better room…but it was ok. The room for 4 of us was a little small.

Great views and balcony with an extra room. Loud neighbors kept us up until 5:00 AM with a dance party. The beach is half run down by another business and half nice by the hotel.

The facilities are extremely old and you don’t see it from the pictures. Old furniture, old painting, old dark shower with a noisy ventilation. Generally the hotel description and the pictures are very misleading. The hotel is very overpriced for what you get. We booked it for our honeymoon and expected to have a sea view but the room was overlooking the building in front of it. We chose Ixchel to have a gym and it was a tiny dark room with no windows or sufficient equipment. The sargassum/seaweed at the beach wasn’t cleaned for two days until we asked to do it as it was right in front of the seabeds. Don’t recommend.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The stuff is super friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The restaurant have an amazing food. The location is fantastic. The family pool was warm and perfect for kids and babies.

The room, amenities and bed matress and pillows was outstanding, and the view, plus the staff did an excelent job the noise from the bars right nxt door till 4 in the morning every day, the narrow beach area the towers enjoy,

Location, Kalak Restaurant, Staff. Our server, Huno, at restaurant was fantastic. The door between the adjoining room was paper thin. Our neighbors were not particularly loud but we could hear everything they said, every cough, and every time they tool a piss.

(+) Location is steps from the beach and resort is beachfront (+) Staff were amazing! All of them were always pleasant, helping out, and greeting the hotel guests; they were able to accommodate my last minute requests for a high floor (top floor) and ocean view (albeit I had no balcony- I think it was just the floor plan I was on in a corner unit) (+) Room was spacious; bed was large and comfortable; there was a water dispenser, mini fridge, and safe (+) Hotel has two large pools that were sparking clean; each pool area had a shower a spigot to clean your feet (from returning to the beach; there was an area where you can borrow pool floaties, kids toys, etc. (+) Hotel had one restaurant with an extension on the beach and bar on-site; steps away from the main shopping/restaurant area (-) Facilities were a bit dated, but seemed well-maintained; noticed there were always workers maintaining the property and property grounds (-) Would've been amazing to have an early check-in; check-in was at 3pm (-) Bar/drinks were pricey at the hotel bar (-) I noticed my room's door had issues with opening; you could push it open when closed (could've been just a hardware issue with the door frame)
