I have stayed on the island a number of times. This is top 3 for me. I highly recommend this hotel. The location is perfect, you get the infamous Playa Norte without the crowds All was great with this hotel

Very basic

The perfect spot on the island

Location was excellent Difficulty communicating with staff or having any personal requests even for a taxi they don’t help if they even understand

Location was perfect. Right on the beach. Juan was our server most days and super fantastic. Loved the Phonak :-) When we checked in, the property did not show our payment. Once they refreshed and I showed proof of payment, all was good.

The location is great, the views were great, and the bed was comfy. When we arrived there was one wash cloth, no bath mat, 2 towels and no hair dryer (despite there being a wall mount for one); we asked for a hair dryer and were told “maybe if we can find one” and for more towels and the front desk agent asked why. There was also hair on the floor in the bathroom and by the bed when we checked in, indicating that it hadn’t been swept since the previous customers.

The location. That you have to roll your suitcase through sand to get to the reception area to check in. Also, the last three days of my stay, I was not able to connect to the Internet in my room. I had to go outside to connect if I wanted to use it. I did report it to the manager but it did not get fixed.

Beautiful views, great location WiFi did not work. Bathroom on top floor is basically all windows, when showering the people from the next door hotel can see you shower and the people coming up the stairs can see you. I went to the staff regarding the WiFi and they went to “fix it” the WiFi still did t work not even the smart tv would connect. Door knob of the restroom kept coming off. Stove top did not work. It’s a beautiful suite however it definitely needs some upgrades

The location is amazing. Right on the beach. Walking distance to town. Staff is super friendly. Bar area is great. You can get food and drinks delivered right to your beach chair which the hotel provides. Great little spot. Rooms are huge. Beds are insanely hard. My kids didn’t mind and were fine.

Amazing beach front hotel with chairs to lay out.

Location was amazing. Clean. New. Great views. Laid back friendly staff Mattress cover was plastic ? Uncomfortable to sleep on. Only had coffee cups. No glassware or utensils. Had a microwave. Coffeemaker. And fridge. All new. But had to go buy coffee. Cups. Spoon. Unfortunately balcony is not private and anyone on floors above walk by. So amazing sliding doors but rarely used. As made it feel like people were walking through your room.

Lack of hot water in shower in evening. Did manage to get some early morning.

Location was incredible. Golf cart parking was rough in the sand. It was quite noisy but really pretty.

Amazing location and reliable basics like cleanliness, A/C, and hot water, but the price does not match the room quality, service, or amenities. With better lighting, improved staff attitude, and small upgrades, this hotel could be much better. The location is excellent, right on Playa Norte, which is the best part of this hotel. Each room includes two beach beds and an umbrella, which is a nice perk and very convenient. The room was very spacious and cleaned daily with no issues. The room includes a refrigerator (no microwave, which would have been useful). Hot water and water pressure were excellent — we never ran out of hot water. The A/C worked great, and noise was never an issue, which made for a comfortable stay in that sense. Smart TV in the room was a plus. The hotel felt overpriced for how basic the room was. There wasn’t even a headboard on the bed, towels need to be updated, the lighting was insufficient, and the ceiling lights were controlled by three different switches, which was inconvenient. The bed was a bit hard for my liking, though the pillows were fine and plentiful. Service from the cleaning staff was disappointing. When I asked if our room would be cleaned, the staff member seemed uninterested and implied it was not her responsibility, which did not feel welcoming. There was also an unpleasant smell on the stairs leading to the sea-view rooms, likely due to garbage collection at the bottom of the stairway. This was noticeable and affected the experience. The Wi-Fi was not very good, and check-in was average — not friendly, just very “meh.” As for the sea-view room, it didn’t feel particularly special or worth the extra cost. The non–sea-view rooms are on the first floor and smaller, but overall the sea view didn’t add much value.
