Unfortunately, nothing. I left the hotel the same day because of how I was treated. There is absolutely no sense of safety at this hotel. I do not recommend it at all. I booked five nights, but as soon as I arrived, I was shocked by how unprofessional and disrespectful the staff were. I reported my concerns to the manager, but instead of improving the situation, it became even worse. After I complained, many of the staff kept staring at me and my wife in a very intimidating way throughout the day, which made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. We no longer felt comfortable staying there, so we decided to leave the hotel the very same day, even though we lost all the money we had paid for the remaining nights. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and I would never recommend this property to anyone.

Everything! Very convenient area! The sales pitch for a timeshare! I came to relax not be pressured to buy anything, but they did give us some AMAZING perks for listening!

Mall in front of the hotel and 7/11 grocery Beach not busy and very clean A lot of good food and lot of variety Not repetitive meals Room service 24hrs available free Water machine in the room Hotel is not well taken care of Dirty corridors Staff is not guest oriented, not motivated, some of them extremely rude with attitude however ladies by the pool bar very sweet and attentive Wait time for check in is 30min min, not enough staff to check in/check out, staff seem to be overwhelmed and annoyed, not friendly at all for the fact that front office service is first impression AC in the room is extemely poor, 22,5 degrees and very humid, bathroom smelly Not enough sun beds and umbrellas around the pool Lots of cabanas that are extra charge which no ones uses, should put some extra sun beds instead that would be of a good use Photos of the rooms are different than reality

The pool was amazing, very clean and quite and the Adults Only is great. The staff were the best, really nice people, always ready to help. Very clean. Very nice and modern 1. One time we didn’t find a restaurant that have an available table, while 2 other restaurants were closed for the night. We had to eat since we had plans and wanted to go out. But once we told them our situation they freed up a table so that was nice. 2. One restaurant had a dress code that we didn’t know about, we reserved a table and waited about 1.5 hours, and right before we went in they told us about the dress code, they could have said it before. We still got our table after we went up for a change, but keep long pants with you! 3. They have this weird thing where they clean the rooms in the evening in addition to the morning, we didn’t want that to have some chill time, but even after we told the reception to cancel this, they still came to the room. We had to keep the “do not disturb” sign all the time after the first cleaning session.

The dining options were outstanding, with incredible variety and flavor at both breakfast and dinner, and spending the afternoons by the pristine pool area made for the ultimate relaxing getaway. What didn't you like?

The hotel’s location is truly excellent - right on the oceanfront with stunning views of the Caribbean. The property features multiple pools that were a highlight of our stay, offering plenty of relaxation options. We opted for the Aqua Club upgrade, and the lounge itself was actually worthwhile. Having access to snacks and drinks anytime was a valuable perk that isn’t available anywhere else in the hotel. This convenience was genuinely appreciated throughout our stay. I recently stayed at Live Aqua Cancun for 4 days and had a mixed experience that unfortunately fell short of expectations for what’s marketed as a luxury resort. Aggressive Sales Tactics and Poor Treatment During check-in, before we had even seen our room or experienced any hotel services, staff aggressively pushed us to purchase a future stay package. The timing was incredibly inappropriate - asking us to commit to returning before we’d spent a single night. After we declined, their attitude shifted noticeably, and they essentially ignored us for the remainder of our stay. This felt unprofessional and left a negative impression from the very start. Beach Maintenance Issues The beach was a major disappointment due to excessive sargassum (seaweed). What was particularly frustrating was observing that neighboring hotels were actively clearing the seaweed from their sections of beach, while Live Aqua made no such effort. We were only able to enjoy the beach on our last day, as it was the only time the sargassum was minimal enough to access the water. For an oceanfront resort, this lack of basic beach maintenance was unacceptable. Overpriced Excursions and Misleading Information The hotel’s excursion pricing was shockingly inflated. We tried to book an Isla Mujeres excursion through the concierge, and they quoted us $149 per person - nearly 4 times the $39 online price for similar tours. The excursion they recommended was poor value: everything except unlimited boat drinks required extra payment, while the online options included a buffet on the island. We were told there would be discounts on food and drinks during the excursion, but this was completely false. Drinks were full price - $27 for a single piña colada. It felt dishonest and like the hotel was trying to take advantage of guests who didn’t research prices independently. The Service Disappointments Unfortunately, the service quality was consistently mediocre.

Food was very good as well as service and staff. The club lounge food was not great Facilities were a little dated for the price that was paid, Shower leaked and air conditioning did not work for the last few nights. Overall it was ok but would not go back.

The room was comfortable and had a very nice view. The bed and pillows were very comfy. The pool and beach area was very nice! Pool area is large with lots of areas to hang out. It never felt crowded. However - the beds and cabanas cost extra (~$100/day) and finding a chair can be challenging if you don’t get up early. They did not enforce the “no holding chairs” rule. There are a lot of options for dining - but wait times can be very long The Asian restaurant was the best in our opinion Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We really liked that it was quiet and relaxing for the most part but still had some entertainment. The spa was very nice We travelled with another couple and two days into our trip we all got violently sick. We did not drink or brush our teeth with the tap water or accidentally ingest any pool water. We heard that there were a lot of other guests who were sick as well so we can only assume it was something we ate or drank at one of the restaurants. The other couple lost about two entire days of their trip because they couldn’t leave their room. Myself and my husband were sick for a full evening/night and my husband’s stomach wasn’t normal for several days which put a damper on the remainder of our trip since he didn’t feel he could eat or drink much of anything. I understand that this kind of thing can happen, especially in another country from where you are from, but it truly sucked. We have small kids so planning and coordinating a trip without them is a lot of work and it was really disappointing to have it ruined from a food illness. The hotel was gracious by checking in and sending extra towels and even cleaning the room despite being so sick - although we did not receive any offers or compensation. The head chef interviewed us to find out exactly what we all ate. He was holding a list of names so we assume he was talking to everyone with symptoms to narrow down the issue. So while the hotel itself is very nice, because of the experience we had, we will not be returning.

Food/drinks were enjoyable. I had originally booked an oceanfront room, but, upon arrival, I discovered that a large tree partially obstructed the ocean view from the room. During check-in, staff informed me that several room upgrades were available and strongly encouraged me to consider one. However, after seeing the obstructed view and returning to request a different room, the staff appeared unsure how to address my concerns, and my request was ultimately denied. Additionally, the room did not appear to have been properly reset prior to my arrival, as there was leftover trash from a previous guest and an opened Diet Coke can still inside the mini refrigerator. The iron in the room was also nonfunctional, and after contacting the front desk to request a replacement, it took approximately 45 minutes for the item to be delivered. During my stay, I also used the fitness center. Unfortunately, the lighting in the gym felt extremely bright and clinical, comparable to an operating room, which distracted from the relaxing resort atmosphere I had expected. Furthermore, there appeared to be inconsistency among staff regarding gym policies. While working out, one staff member who was wearing purple scrubs rudely instructed me to turn off my personal music, despite other staff members previously indicating it was not an issue.

My partner and I had the perfect, relaxing getaway at live aqua. Kudos to the wonderful staff!

The fact that everything is included makes it so comfortable that we never went out if the hotel, plus you didn’t have children running around. Add to that, an exceptional staff that enjoys making you comfortable and happy. Good food, every drink you can think of, and plenty of restaurants and bars. Perfect place for a resting vacation (although they have plenty of activities) Lack of light in the rooms, need to have more bright lights, especially for senior people, to move around and work with luggage.
