Nature on hotel premises The food variety was very limited. The coffee machine only worked 3 out of 10 days—very disappointing.
-
The iguana restaurant (main buffet) was not good.
-
everything was good! walls are thin I could hear the person in the other room snoring

Facilities were good, even though it was too cold during our trip the pools looked very clean. Restaurantes staff were friendly and helpful, even when they were extremely busy at mealtimes. Starting around 6:30 am the staff make SO MUCH NOISE just outside of the rooms because they use dolly carts to carry things around the cobblestone paths and down the stairs. We understand they have work to do, but it is so inconsiderate to make so much noise early in the morning while people are on vacation and trying to sleep. A new system needs to be arranged as it was a big disturbance in our stay every single morning. While the staff in the restaurants were friendly, the bartenders and snack bar staff were EXTREMELY rude to guests. They made it feel like an inconvenience to ask for food or drinks (at an all-inclusive hotel) and did not hide the fact that they hate their job and the hotel guests. They would make snarky comments right to our faces, even though they knew we spoke Spanish, or would sometimes straight up ignore you and make you feel like you were talking to a wall. If you hate customer service, find a job in a different part of the hotel that doesn’t include ruining people’s good mood on vacation. We were super polite and even tipped them and they were still extremely rude.

nice shades Air conditioner run well. no smell of mold. Food was below average. the size of the room is good, however, the vanity and shower faucets were shut very tight when we first used them, and there was reason behind, they closed it very tight so that there was leaking. we tried our best to shut it tight for not to waste water, the faucets leaked all night long. The insulation of the room was not good, we could hear noise from outside all night, we heard the moving furniture from above story even middle of the night. We called front desk, the noise stopped for a few minutes and it came back again.

The bar closes too early

I like the areas with pool, and the beach is awesome! I really recommend that place. I didn’t like that I asked to have the room decorate 2x because it was my husband birthday and when I got there my room was not decorated

The bar is only open hotel 10pm :(

Here for dental tourism so was OK . Mainly Mexican & South American clientele so food very Mexican. Decor really dated. Looks like no updates Since 1980’s. For example, only one out let could use in room. Front of house manager rude.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dos Playas! Food and drinks were amazing & hotel staff were friendly, Luis went above and beyond every night at dinner! The Mexican party was a pleasant surprise! Pool areas & the beach were excellent! Location was excellent - ferry to Isla Mujeres right beside us and 15 minute taxi to the strip. We will definitely be back ☀️?

Food was mediocre at best. Often cold. Salad and dessert selection very minimal. One of the 2 restaurants (and only a la carte) was closed one evening with no explanation as to why.

Good location. Food quality was good. The beach is beautiful. Cielito lindo is very, very slow. One day, we had to leave without receiving the food, and it was just 2 eggs. It took more than 30 minutes. The alcohol doesn't taste good. We understand it's all-inclusive, so we can't expect premium brands, but everything tasted like perfum, and we tried them all.

I highly recommended - good location and great facilities - staff very friendly ( ms. Yeing was very nice she upgraded my room to ocean view ) - delicious food and have many varieties - cozy atmosphere - clean beach Nothing to mention, my stay was great and enjoyable

Location was ok BEWARE. any positive reviews are a SCAM. This place was deplorable. Our bed had mold. We slept on the floor the first night. The room we moved to , the shower , sink or toilet didn't work properly. Plumbing didn't work . The overall odor is stale and unpleasant. When turning the water on in the sink smelled like sewage. We had to fill water bottles to aid in flushing the toilet. The shower turned off constantly while using. The sheets were stained and so were the towels. The towels were "washed" but we're so old and used that it was a tint of yellow and rot like. The fridge was rusted. The paint was chipped. The entire place is EXTREMELY OUTDATED and needs to be shut down for a face lift. No clean, hygienic person would have ANYTHING to say positive about this infested, smelly, outdated shelter. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE , spend the extra money to stay ANYWHERE but here. I'm even embarrassed to tell people I stayed here. If you don't care about non working water and plumbing, sewage smell, stained towel and sheets, molded mattress... Then yes, you can stay here .. otherwise DO NOT LISTEN TO THE FAKE POSITIVE REVIEWS. I hate that people are misleading in their reviews. This is the truth. It's dirty, unclean, VERY OLD. STINKS LIKE SEWAGE.

I love the location. It’s right next to the Isla Mujeres ferry boat. The R2 bus is easy to access They building needs external maintenance

The hotel was in a good location to the beach The hotel itself was extremely run down and tired. Our balcony wall was missing. Reception apart it was all needing a good re paint. Room was grubby especially the bathroom. We could not buy drinks at any pool bars because we were not all inclusive so we had to constantly leave the hotel to go to the shop for refreshments

1 staff member, Cesar was lovely! Everything else sucked! Everything except for the 1 staff member named Cesar.
-
Food at the location was great. Staff was really friendly. Rooms need renovation, but it should not be done when guest are at the next room. Paint job smell is not the one you expect on your vacation.
