The location is perfect for day trips around the peninsula. Breakfasts are very basic, with different types of eggs on offer (fried, scrambled, poached, omelete or boiled). Sides available, green pepper, mushroom, bacon and tomato. The buffet is also basic with two to three types of fresh fruit, and four types of cheeses. Bread is available for toasting. Various cereals are available. Nothing.

We didn't mind, but the bathroom doesn't provide much privacy (the door doesn't close completely). If you are not that close with your travel companion this might be a problem. There is also no mini bar in the room so you have to buy your own drinks outside (there's a Woolworths close by, though, and a fridge is provided in the room).

The charm of this facility is without question, it certainly has everything you need with a friendly and helpful staff and close to Waterfront market … modern with African sensibilities. Nothing at this property disappointed us.

Very nice older location with lots of charm. I never got to enjoy the pool area, as it was cold and rainy while I was in Cape Town, but that amenity was just beautiful. Breakfast each morning was made to order, along with fresh fruit and cereal. The staff was very nice and helpful. The bathrooms need a bit of an updating, particularly the faucets, but normal with an older property

Although the hotel itself was safe and I felt safe walking down to the main road in the waterfront, the area was right on the edge of a sketchy area. I wouldn't leave anything in my car overnight.

Reception staff friendly. Great location close to V&A waterfront and has restaurants close by. Very Uber accessible. Cute pool. Nobody to help with luggage. Rooms are dated. For me too much light coming in to room. No curtain block out so room was bit to bright for me when lights go out. Unfortunately there were flies on the self service breakfast spread and I had to ask staff to put a net. This was on my stay from 4-5th April. Rooms are a bit dated
