Very expensive, Moldy smells in the hallways, most of the staff were pleasant and helpful. Rooms were clean. But the price payed was for a 5 star hotel,

Outstanding accommodations and service.

The buffet breakfast was pricey but excellent. And the service was great. The $18 parking fee is outrageous.

Exceptional

There’s NO EV charging nearby!

Overall 4 star. Will be glad to see renovations in next several months

Our room was fine, and everyone was really friendly and welcoming. Our tiny bathroom had a cracked sink which had obviously been patched in a few places. Also, the shower was very small and the glass door did not seem very secure. We were disappointed that the hotel smelled kind of moldy, if you will, and wish that the air conditioning would have been stronger at night. But the staff was very nice!

Passable

service was great
-
Very clean and not far from downtown Charleston

We were not allowed to check in to our balcony room at 4:00 because some guests were allowed to stay later. I paid for a balcony room but due to an upcoming meeting had to settle for another room. I usually stay at Marriott and am a Bonvoy member. Will have to reconsider that going forward!

Clean, large, common area on main floor. Plenty of hang out space indoors and outdoors. Saw many people working. Outdoor pool was nice and open late. Not downtown, but only a 7 min Uber ride. Near the baseball field and Citadel field. Would stay here again.

Property was very clean and staff were accommodating

The first floor restaurant food is wonderful and a very enjoyable experience. Ate there twice during our stay plus room service once. This facility is older and outdated. For a Mariott hotel, I was suprised at the number of areas I felt needed an upgrade. I had to request a rooom change because the toilet was running in the first room checked into. For the room I ended up in, learned next day that the tv wasn't working. After a day of kayaking we wanted a quiet evening in. Maintenance took a long time to get the tv up and running and appears due to their satelite system lacking. Both instances avoidable if houskeeping were to verify basic functions as they turned over a room.

Very clean, comfy bed, staff seemed kind.

Beautiful and clean. Staff was helpful

The lobby and conference area are very nice except for dated furniture in the common area. I attended a conference there and the conference room was excellent. Unfortunately, it was one of the nicer sections of the hotel. The Pool was decent and the fitness center was well appointed and quite spacious. Plenty of free water and coffee was a nice touch. Elevators require a key for floor entry which is nice for security, but I found it very annoying after several days. We did eat at the restaurant and the food was very good. It is a nice location with ample on-site parking although they require you to pay for it. A Publix is easily accessible a block away, which was nice to grab a light snack or drinks. I don’t want to sound like a hotel snob, but I’ve stayed at a lot nicer Marriotts; it definitely is due for an upgrade.

The air conditioner cannot be adjusted even after getting it “Fixed” it was too hot and made it uncomfortable. Housekeeping had to be requested as they did not do it prior to the request. Nothing near the hotel besides publix. I will say the Valet parking employees were very nice as well as the bartender on the rooftop bar!

Great hospitality, food, and amenities.
