The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was kind of cramped and looked like the bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned before us. The pictures online didn’t represent the space accurately

The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. Parking is a little tricky but manageable.

Staff was friendly and welcoming. Break was hot & fresh. The coffee makers made good coffee, but it was a challenge to get a cup of coffee. It took a while. It would be better to have the volume of coffee ready in the am when people had places to go.

I’m glad they are upgrading; carpet dirty, no vents in bathroom. Lobby is nice but rooms and pool old.

Superb

Close to MUSC Advertised as property with free parking, but it’s a garage across an alley and no close handicapped places for elderly or wheelchairs.

Our room was terrible. The manager did not accommodate us when we told her that the TV in our room didn’t work amongst various other things. Another girl that was working the front desk said that that room should not have even been sold because it was under renovation. The shower didn’t shut off. There was water all over the bathroom floor. The toilet constantly ran and was very loud just various things. Also, I paid for parking and there was not one handicap parking spot for me to park in or any other spot for that matter. The manager wanted me to walk Across The Street around a building to get to a parking garage to park and then do all of that to come back to the property which was not happening due to the fact that I am handicapped it was terrible. Also, in the morning there was no milk for the oatmeal. There was just everything wrong with this place I do not recommended at all.

The bathroom door doesn't latch so it is always open. The the towel rack on the front of the sink was broken. The bathroom vanity is so small you can only place your toothbrush on it. Housekeeping doesn't come everyday and we were never told the schedule. The room we were given was an adjoining room and you could hear everything from the other room as if it were in your own room. The TV from the next room kept us awake. Attempting to dial the front desk (different days and imes) always results in a busy signal. We believe they manually disabled it. Wherever we walked down to the desk after trying to call they were there idle not on the phone or with other guests. The staff was not friendly and pretty unprofessional in how they spoke. The room AC is so loud it is difficult to hear simple conversation let alone sleep. The breakfast was not good at all. Parking consists of about a 15-18 stalls and around a half of them are reserved for some reward club. Everyone else has to park across the street in the grocery store parking garage and then remember to bring the ticket to the front desk. The hotel is literally a block away from a public housing project not anywhere you would imagine your vacation taking place in.

Pleasant

Horrible front desk service. When you go to Charleston you expect more than most cities. Called for housekeeping several times and no answer. No hair dryer in room and no wash cloths. Leftover empty water bottles were on the floor when we arrived. Even got charged additionally for parking after I had already gotten my ticket validated. This should definitely be refunded.

Poor

Parking was poor. Halls often needed to be vacuumed. Staff was friendly.

Cleanliness TV didn't work for 3 days

Dirty, Noisy. Staff charged parking fee to all in our party, although we shared a car. Check your folio!

Exceptional

1) we walked into the room and found the bathroom picture frame hanging by one of two screws. We reported this within the hour, but it was never addressed in our 48-hour stay 2) our TV, from check-in to checkout, had only sound, despite 2 reports to the front desk. This was blamed on “reception during rain,” both times, but anyone who knows anything about IT knows if that were the case, it would have affected all TVs, not just ours 3) we had no bath mat. My roomie fell getting out of the shower and bruised her ribs severely 4) morning after our first night, we were exited to have the famous cinnamon rolls and other breakfast items. They were out of bacon and eggs and the cinnamon rolls were tough and cold 5) after our first night, we had been gone since 9:30a and received a knock at the door at about 5:35p asking if they could service the room. We asked if they could return in 30 minutes and were told “no” and given some new towels and asked about trash 6) every interaction with staff (even overheard talking to other guests) seemed like an inconvenience If you need a picture for a thousand words, please look closely at the scuffed, bedraggled IHG one—it perfectly describes our experience.

The location was great. However, having to validate a parking ticket every day in and out you had to get a new one you had to walk across the street get it validate to come back out of the garage so what they gave you to keep in the window was not your validation sticker we had no washcloths in our room so we called housekeeping and no one responded several times. We had no hairdryer in our room called housekeeping and no one responded. We were waiting at the front desk for 25 minutes because they’re short staffed and no one came until they finish their break I was not the only person standing there either there was a line of about seven or eight of us and only one person was checking people in during check-in time.

Parking is horrible. Not enough spots and VERY Dark. Overflow lot is in a parking garage across the street about 4 floors up. Very isolated and hardly any traffic on weeknights. Pretty scary and a pain to get into and out of. This isn't in a great area of town and there is no one around so it felt like a zombie apocalypse movie set.

staff and location facility need to be innovated, AC system is not work properly. carpet need to be clean. sofa bed made backache.
