It’s proximity to the marina. The walk from the marina to the hotel is odd. You should be able to go to the dock that leads into the hotel without having to walk around the other hotel to get to the courtyard.

We paid for a room which we did not get. They overbooked our room type, and would not extend concessions to make it right. Thumbs down.

Everything was in a state of disrepair. The ice machine was leaking. The elevators weren’t working. The patio was being repaired. The paint was chipping front desk. For the experience I had I would’ve expected to pay closer to $100 a night instead of $370 a night. I come to Charleston for work and I won’t return to this hotel.

I liked that the property had a great view of the water/marina. What I did not like about the property is that it didn’t mention any additional fees at check in, as well as the staff the way they greeted me wasn’t really welcoming especially for a Marriott hotel.

Pretty location A little far from the main tourist spots but they did operate a shuttle! That was very helpful.

The room was clean and spacious. It said ocean view, but it was more like semi harbor view. Upon arrival, the staff was very friendly and provided answers to questions we didnt have to ask.
