The hotel looks nice but the front desk staff were not that friendly. We found a used band-aid in our bed, indicating the sheets may not actually have been changed prior to our arrival. The long hallways were a bit dank and the carpets musty. The overall feel of the hotel is nice though and the gym is very good for a hotel gym. The coffee shop downstairs is really good! And the location is perfect for exploring Charleston. I really wanted to love this hotel but for the price I wish the staff had been more welcoming and the hotel more cleanly.

Hotel in excellent location for tourists. Very busy spot. The hotel's bathroom design was not well planned. The thought of the open shower is delightful however, the showers are not pitched properly for the water to drain, and the bathroom floor quickly become flooded with the shower water. To make make the matter worse the flooring in the bathroom and shower is marble and is very slick when wet (I almost fell several times.) The bath products smell awful!!! The lighting in bathroom is awful and was difficult to apply makeup. I would not stay here again.

The room was clean and well equipped with amenities that afforded a comfortable stay.

Although I knew this would be a nice hotel, my expectations were exceeded, initially because the front desktop upgraded me to a suite at no additional cost. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom configuration was slightly odd, but the overall set up was wonderful. The maintenance itself was very responsive to a couple of minor issues with lightbulbs. The hotel was centrally located to all of our activities in Charleston.

Great all the way around

We enjoyed our stay here! Aesthetically pleasing hotel in a great location. Beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Loved the touch of a coffee/filtered station on each floor. Will definitely consider staying here in the future.

No where to park at ck in. Instead of helping me , who was obviously struggling with my walking disability, with luggage, the bus boys yelled at me I couldn't park across the street! I had great difficulty carrying in my luggage and having to carry it all, as well as use a pass card, every time u need the elevator, is quite annoying. Poor ck in service, no parking available, rude bus boys. I won't come back!

Excellent hotel

Great hotel in the heart of downtown Charleston walking distance to plenty of attractions and shopping.

Super clean and really neat Charleston charm! Highly recommend! Room was very spacious, amenities and location were great.

Definitely use the Valet because parking is a nightmare in downtown Charleston. Make sure when you book your stay to call the restaurant to make reservations as they get filled up quite quickly. Minutes away from the open air market. Beds are very comfortable.

Hotel cared more about the people on their patio than people who are staying with them. I could quite literally hear everything that was happening as there were 15+ diners 10 inches from our hotel room window. Blasting music until midnight. People above us seem to enjoy dragging their chair back-and-forth till about 1 AM. TV did not work. No record player in the room. Charleston has a fun city, but do not stay here.

Very nice property close to everything either a walk away or quick uber ride. Staff were very helpful with tour arrangement and dinner recommendations. Was only here for a long weekend but would definitely recommend. I am very picky with hotel accommodations and this spot did not disappoint. Also a plus to have a coffee shop and restaurant downstairs.

Have stayed at the Emeline numerous times. Love the hotel, its location and the staff are wonderful. Nicole at the front desk is always helpful, friendly and a perfect example of what a front desk staff should be! Will be returning soon!
