Beautiful property giant rooms, and wonderful staff

This was our second time staying here and I'm glad we came back after all the renovations. The place looks amazing and the staff were super friendly. This has become our favorite place to stay whenever we're in Charleston. We were also charmed by the hand written notes in our room. Very personalized and we loved it!

We enjoyed our stay. Our room was very spacious and quiet on the 3rd floor. Front desk provided great recommendations. We enjoyed the complimentary welcome drink served by a friendly bartender and caught a beautiful sunset from the rooftop. Parking was across the street & location was walkable to Market St, historic sites and the water taxi. We look forward to a return visit!

Everything with our stay was amazing. The staff, the hotel room was amazing and the robe and slippers were a nice touch. My only comment for improvement is the signage to understand where to enter the lobby and where to park. We will stay here again.

The staff, especially Carrie was outstanding. Very customer focused and friendly. Went above and beyond! Great location, in close proximity to everything Charleston. Nice breakfast offering and comfortable room. Will definitely like to return one day.

We loved our stay! It was clean, quiet, spacious, and the amenities were great. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, water, and free cocktails at check in. The beds are comfy and the location is perfect for walking around the city, with a safe parking lot that was easy to access. I booked the hotel (my second time staying) to celebrate my mom’s 55th birthday and she had a wonderful time. The receptionist even surprised us with a complimentary bottle of champagne for her birthday! I definitely recommend staying here and will be back for a future visit!

From the beginning of entering this property we were greeted with a very polite young man Luis and a lovely young lady Angel. Check in was so easy and the parking is located directly across the street. We arrived to celebrate 3 birthdays and upon entering our gorgeous loft we were greeted with a beautiful note from the staff wishing us a wonderful time with a sweet cold surprise in the refrigerator. Breakfast was nice to have available in the morning. The upstairs rooftop was a perfect way to unwind after a nice day. We were very happy with our stay and definitely would come back to stay again.

Amazing, tall ceiling rooms. Super convenient. A bit of a sewer smell on the second level. We also had drafts of cigarette smoke at night, but we truly loved the property and would stay there again!

We stayed in a loft room. It was very comfortable and spacious. The only thing I would say to anyone getting the loft room. Ask for a fan for the upstairs bedroom. My kids slept downstairs and they were freezing and it was way warmer upstairs especially when the AC kicked off. Once we got the fan it was great. The staff was very polite, professional and very friendly. It’s a little confusing at first where to park while checking in. There is a small space on the sidewalk to pull up and unload your car, then you park across the street. Would love to stay there again the next time we’re in Charleston.

The Ansonborough was a beautiful hotel in a former warehouse that was well-appointed and luxurious. My room was beautiful and comfortable. The hotel was in a great location to see the historic downtown on foot. The staff were helpful and cordial.

What a beautiful property! The building had great character and was immaculate. It was location very near lots of shops and things to do, but being a block over from the very busy area it was perfectly quiet and low key. We loved the Alida.
