Hampton Inn & Suites Chattanooga/Downtown

Staff was great, breakfast and coffee were ok. The pool is very small, but clean. The hallways where the rooms are had a smell for sure. The room smelled ok. The AC rattled a bit. Overall it was just ok. Expected more for the price for sure. We'll stay at a different hotel downtown next time.

Overall good, but not great experience. The location is excellent and is hard to beat for the price. You're right across the street from the Creative Discovery Museum (a must visit for anyone with young kids) and easy walking distance from the aquarium and carriage rides. Its also an easy walk to numerous restaurants and other sites downtown. The location is easily the best part of this hotel. The rooms are decent, but nothing to write home about. Word of caution...the beds are very firm. Some people might like a firm mattress, but for me, it gives me a terribly sore back. I would wake up 3-4times a night trying to get comfortable and still sore in the morning. The rooms are also a bit noisy between street traffic and noise from the hallway and adjacent rooms. The pool is nice with a water fall and fountains, but rather small for the amount of guests using it which makes it rather crowded much of the time. The nice thing about the pool is that it is very well heated. Breakfast again is decent, but not spectacular. They do have eggs and a meat each morning along with your standard grains and waffle maker. Breakfast is complimentary so that is a plus. Word of warning though, it does get crowded in the mornings. Fyi, parking on site is $18/night, but that appears pretty standard for downtown hotels. Would i stay here again? Yes, probably just because of the location, but i would likely check out one of the other area hotels first in search of a softer bed.

Pretty much the best hotel stay I have ever had! Now, that could be slightly skewed due to coming off my 2nd worst ever motel stay a few days prior at a completely different motel that shall remain nameless, but leave it at that motel has absolutely no ties whatsoever to THIS hotel!! The room didn't smell, the floor was clean (because barefoot was the method used to protect integrity of the analysis), the toilet flushed with zero problems! The bed is super comfy and I would literally steal the pillows if I had come with a larger bag! The staff, each one I interacted with, were very friendly and spoke perfect English with no translator required. The free continental breakfast was clean and very good. Plenty of options, healthy and guilty pleasures alike. The only ding they get there are the shot glasses you're given for juice. Then again, more trips to get refills meant more trips to grab another bite. Hotel is super clean and I never ran out of hot water, though I tried. The television somehow even knew my name! Creeped me out a hair at first, but the size of the screen calmed me down. Overall, such a great experience I am trying hard to think of a reason I need to visit Chattanooga again soon!!

Loved our stay! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The breakfast was delicious and had many options to choose from. Short walk to restaurants, the aquarium, and the Tennessee river! Our kids loved the pool!

ALL of it!! Thus was a great stay! The sausage at breakfast was pretty bad. Also, hotels should consider pool rules that prohibit children after a certain hour.

Never stay at this hotel again! They do not have enough parking for their hotel and yet they charge $18 a night for parking. When I asked the front desk about it the lady laughed and said they do not have enough parking when they are booked , it’s always a problem. Then she said we can park at the public pay to park and they’d remove that fee from our bill but not the $18 we had already paid! Service was terrible!

Pool. Clean place. ADVERTISED ON BOOKING.COM website that we were booking a TWO BEDROOM suite. TWO SEPARATE ROOMS WITH QUEEN bed. There is no such thing at this hotel. We were given ONE ROOM with ZERO PRIVACY. Just one open floor plan. We were then charged $265!!!!! By booking a “2 room suite”when all the room rates there were around $130-$170 online. The hotel staff stated on two different instances that they completely understood that we booked at this location because a 2 room situation is what we needed for our traveling arrangements and for various personal reasons. The hotel stated that they would issue a complete refund if they were able, but they could not because booking charged my card so my payment went through booking.com not through the hotel. The PM and the AM staff both told me they would gladly refund completely and understood our precarious situation, but they instructed us to call or contact booking.com for the refund I took screenshots of what was advertised and showed the staff trying to help me. No one at the desk knew how to take a visa gift card payment that we had -to begin with but that was the least of our worries at that point we had traveled all day and had to get up at 6 AM and leave the next day… So we just gave up trying to find a solution and one of us ended up sleeping on the uncomfortable couch and the other slept on the very hard and uncomfortable queen bed. For extremely personal reasons… We had booked what we thought was a two bedroom unit as advertised. We were told by the hotel staff that there were no such rooms there and they did profusely apologize but said we would have to contact booking for our refund. Please please help. I am extremely upset that my card was charged $265+ for a small room, UNCOMFORTABLE bed and uncomfortable situation we weee placed in and would request a full refund to my card. Please help! I have used booking.com for 15 years, and have never had this issue, thank you. HELP!

This hotel was such a prime location to all the activities that we had planned. It was so convenient to be able to walk and walk to dinner. Very nice pool which my son loved and the staff were very friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back!

Great place to stay and clean.

The people were super nice! Nice property The bed was extremely squeaky. Myself and my family couldn’t move on the bed without waking the others because of the squeaks. The shampoo bottle was completely empty in the shower.

Very nice property. The room was very updated and clean. The hotel location is very convenient to tourist attractions. We walked to all of our destinations. The staff was friendly. I didn’t care for the protein choice for breakfast. The breakfast was standard continental breakfast as stated. Not a deal breaker.
