Delta Hotels by Marriott Chesapeake Norfolk

The was on the cleaner side but worn. The ceiling in the entry and bathroom were 7 feet which seemed low with my height. Bathroom had great lighting and plenty of counter space but the shower had a weird shape where the sides sloped downward and very small. Outside the room was very noisy from staff and other guests.

The breakfast met my expectations and was prepared to 98% my satisfaction. The servers were prompt, courteous and attentive. Superior to standard 'serve yourself at other brands. The establishment provided all my needs for a one night stay. Currently, there is nothing negative to report.

Everything was wonderful

Property was very clean. Staff were kind and courteous. Love the smell of CLEAN. It was quiet and peaceful. Beds were very comfy.

Disappointing

One of the two rooms was terrible. First, the mattress was old and had a dent in the middle, next they hadn’t updated the TV since early 2000s, next the bathroom ceiling had heavy water stains and what looked like mildew, and we were placed next to the lounge where some guests have access to get free breakfast and snacks throughout the day and the problem with that was each morning between 4:30-5:00 am the staff was loud and stocking the room was very disruptive to say the least. And lastly, the phones were not connecting to the front desk so we had to either call through the outside line or go downstairs when needing assistance, this was very frustrating. When we brought the matter to the front desk staff multiple times we were just told there was nothing they could do and just received a smile and told to enjoy our stay. I’m going to reach out to Marriott to request 1/2 of what I paid for our stay in restitution for my family’s inconvenience. It’s disappointing because my family and I have stayed here multiple times and fell in love with this property.

The customer service was truly top-notch. Every team member I interacted with went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. The amenities were excellent, and the location was convenient for everything I needed during my trip. I highly recommend the Delta Hotel Chesapeake to anyone visiting the area, whether for business or leisure. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit!

Good

The Elevator in the lobby was out of order on my first day so I had to use the service elevator. The service elevator was disgusting. I didn't like using it and I can't imagine the staff appreciates the condition. After a power outage, it took over 12 hours to restore the wifi and even though the staff was aware that the AC units in each room needed to be reset, instead of proactively checking each room, I had to request my AC to be reset at the front desk.

The hotel staff is great, and the restaurant on site is a nice perk...they have decent food and surprisingly good drinks. The only thing that is annoying is that the elevators are frequently out of order, requiring you to use the stairs or the service elevator.

Last day was a very pleasant one I have no complaints the service was outstanding
