This hotel is located relatively close to the night bazar and about 25 minutes from the old city- the rooms are lovely spacious and luxuriously equipped with wonderful amenities and comforts- The staff were very kind and helpful- they provided umbrellas when it was raining and towels when we went to a nearby waterfall. They accommodated our dietary quirks and were willing to change things when we asked. They responded quickly when communicating via booking. There is a single structural flaw which we were not aware of and that is that there are zero outward facing windows in the room. In our room the window opened not to a back street or internal yard or air shaft but to a stone wall which - with some effort - could let in a tiny bit of light through cracks. So we were in a cave - luxurious well light and spacious- but a cave nonetheless with no natural light or natural air. Had we known this in advance this would have been a show stopper. Other issues: the hotel offers parking but it was not clearly explained that it is across from a six lane road in an empty lot- and traversing the crazy streets of chiang Mai was exacerbated by our inability to find the hotel or some place to stop the car just to ask. There is the issue of no elevator but the helpful staff was kind enough to help us carry the bags up to the room.

Exceptional experience. Very, very lovely.

I was a bit disappointed after reading the good reviews to be honest. It was an average stay without the character that the listing suggests. The pool was non-existent. I hit my leg on the square edges of the wooden bed so many times I got grazes on it. The dark wood of the bed blended into the floor colour and the low lighting didn’t help. Be careful :)

Overall a good concept but looks better in pictures than the reality. Far from the chaos in the city. If you book it, ask for the top floor that is facing the back yard. Very loud on the first floor as the doors are not very insulated. I woke yo many times during the day from whoever had to walk as there is no elevator up to the rooms. Friendly staff. Breakfast was ok. The hotel always seemed empty but when I asked for upper floor they said no availability. Though they offered an upgrade which was facing the main street (very loud) so I did not change.

Lovely building, huge well appointed rooms and lovely staff. Location great but like everything in Chiang Mai you’re never more than two inches from a road.

Beautiful building and large comfortable rooms. There were not many windows which meant it felt a bit dark during the day.

I had a brief yet delightful stay at this charming and unique hotel. The staff were incredibly pleasant and accommodating, and the cuisine was exquisite, particularly the sticky rice and local sausages. The only downsides were its slightly remote location and the somewhat deserted atmosphere during my visit. While some may find this solitude appealing, I personally found it a bit isolating...

We enjoyed the spacious rooms and art work throughout the hotel. The adjoining coffee shop was a bonus.
