Chala Number 6 Hotel

A little hidden gem and a wonderful experience overall. The location earned points for a few reasons - in the middle of the Old City which allowed us to do a walking tour of the city's Wats (although the heat did result in some Grab rides), immediately adjacent to Wat Chedi Luang, the proximity to Rachadamnoen road which was a great stretch to check out wonderful shops and restaurants, and (of course) the fact that there was a 7-Eleven right next door! Upon entering, we were pretty surprised at how beautiful the inner courtyard area of the hotel was and especially enjoyed the afternoon Tea hosting sessions. The room was spacious with a very nice bathroom (separate shower and tub with a Japanese smart toilet). The staff was amazing and helpful in arranging a driver for us to visit the Sticky Waterfall and to provide support for a hike we made from Chiang Mai to Wat Pha Lat and then up to the top of Doi Suthep (yes, a hike; we didn't bike or drive up), as well as a massage at their on-site spa during our stay. Combined with the affordable price (at least when we booked our room) it was a clear win. While the breakfast was good, it wasn't great. My favorite part was the omelet station, but a lot of the same things each morning. We actually found a restaurant just a 2-minute walk away that had a better breakfast.

This was the most beautiful hotel I have personally ever stayed at. Breathtaking. The staff were phenomenal, food was excellent, rooms were superb. I’ve stayed at thousands of hotels and in my opinion… this hotel is even better than Marina Bay Sands. Nothing to dislike, superb in every way.

Beautiful, clean, and well-located. Nothing. We had a noisy upstairs neighbor and the staff were so attentive to find us another room which was an upgrade at not additional cost.

This hotels provides a very peaceful and calming environment right in the heart of the everything going on in old city. perfect location to walk to temples, the night bazaar, and the Sunday walking street which is less than a block away. the4 staff were very friendly and the hotel restaurant was very good. Only thing that wasn't great was that after our first night then didn't 'finish' cleaning the room...a few things were left undone. The next day they cleaned later in the afternoon, and the final day they cleaned the room in the morning. Would be better to be consistent so we know when not to be there.

Location was excellent, beautiful garden and pool area The gym could be a bit bigger. It seemed much bigger in the photos.

Great location- in front of a beautiful and one of the largest temples inside the old town. For first timers- definitely stay in the old town. Everything is in a walking distance. good service, authentic feel, very well maintained, good breakfast מלון מהמם, לא זול יחסית לסביבה אבל ממש שווה The pillows was not comfortable (specially when compared to how comfortable everything else was) Another thing worth mentioning- there’s a school really close by and it is very loud in the morning. Not a big deal if you wake up early, but around 9-10 you can hear the kids singing and yelling. Didn’t bother us- but I would want to know that. Also- WiFi could have been better, didn’t work well most of the times

I had no idea what to expect and was pleasantly surprised with the central location, how beautiful and clean it was, my room was larger than expected, it was an oasis within the city. The massage I had was amazing, much more expensive than the local massage places, but worth it. The breakfast buffet was not great for a vegetarian

Great friendly staff—always ready to help. Beautiful pool—long enough to swim laps and cool for a refreshing dip! I looked forward to the included Afternoon tea with Thai desserts!!! Breakfast buffet was large and varied—yummy coffee every cup freshly made (machine but good!). Japanese toilets with warm seats ;) I think the beds, bed linens and pillows need a refresh.

Location and staff Internet is spotty and TV has no casting ability for iPhone and 1 American tv channel
