The property was simply delightful. The colors, the decor, the amazing staff and the refreshing pool made this by far my favorite place I stayed during my visit to Thailand. I cannot express how lovely the staff is. They are so helpful in every way possible. From recommendations to helping facilitate transport, they are truly the best. I can’t wait to come back here in the future. There was nothing I didn’t like about the property. Everything was delightful.

Nice outdoor pool Space. Rooms are clean, comfortable and stylish. Staff is exceptional. Near busy street so noisy. Location is a bit far from the centre.

Quirky 2 bedroom suite we liked it. Staff are super friendly and extremely helpful. Location couldn’t be better. Only downside for me was lack of sun at the pool. Too much shade Crome greenery round pool.

The location was perfect, the property is gorgeous and the staff goes above and beyond!! We do a TON of traveling and this was one of the best places we have stayed. The staff really made our time in Chiang Mai even more enjoyable by guiding us to the best local food spots and even hunting down an obscure Northern Thai dish that I had 10 years ago and haven’t forgotten about since…having it delivered to our place!! Next time I am in Chiang Mai, I will definitely be staying here.

This is a boutique hotel where I was treated like a family friend. The staff always greeted me with smiles and questions about what I was going to do, or, on my return, how I had enjoyed my day. They even asked to see pictures. They had suggestions as to where to eat and what to see. As a solo traveler I appreciated having someone to share my experiences with. Everything was great!

We stay as a family, our kid choosed the second floor and felt as a king. Everything is so comfort. The bathroom has 2 showers for each person, the pool is clean and feels like private one. If you like quite and privacy this is a place.

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed at. The villas are beautifully furnished with quirky objects, ours had pool access, pool and grounds are stunning and well maintained, the property is central to restaurants, bars and shops. And all of the staff are just so wonderful! Wi-Fi is consistent and free. Thank you Villa Thapae for such an enjoyable stay ❤️

The staff was amazing at Villa Thapae!!! The hotel itself was stunning and in a great location, but the staff made it even better. They were so friendly and accommodating, and had great recommendations for my group. The beds were a little uncomfortable but everything else about our room was great. It is walking distance to the old city and also to other fun areas in Chiang Mai. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend anyone I know to stay here. Uncomfortable bed

What an amazing place!! Small and intimate. Gorgeous garden and pool. The room was wonderful. Comfortable bed. Great shower. Loved the direct pool access. The staff, particularly Fray, were so helpful and welcoming. Such an amazing location - a short walk to everything. So good, we changed our travel plans so we could return and stay for longer. Nothing!

Helpful and friendly staff (helped us book last minute tours) Located very central in chiang mai Nice cool pool to relax in / by Interesting / cool aesthetic Power went out in our room for several hours one day. Some parts of bathroom / room seemed like they could use some cleaning up and love or the build quality isn’t up to western standards. Tried to smoke weed on the balcony (with ash tray) and the lady working at the desk shouted across the villa to me that I can’t smoke weed because it smells very strong and it’s a small place. I found this rediculous because cigarette smoking is okay (cigarette smoke smells stronger and is more toxic) which made me feel not wanted as a weed smoker.
