We stayed at The Emily during our daughter’s wedding and the staff were so helpful and responsive to our needs. The location was fabulous and the hotel gathering spaces were a big plus for guests.

Overall our room felt cheap. Biggest complaint was how loud the room was. Little to no soundproofing it seemed like. Hotel also let multiple cars sit in valet for 10+ minutes with music blaring. Wouldn't stay here again.

Lovely place in Westloop, close to everything, quiet, clean and efficient. I would stay there again.

Loved this hotel. Great location, lovely rooms. Spacious room, comfy beds. All good things. I have no notes :)

We had a very deep bathtub that we did not request. I thought most modern hotels just had walk in showers, so I didn't think to request one. My husband and I are older and I am short, so getting in and out of the tub was a challenge. We were very careful when showering. Also, there aren't any clocks in the rooms. It wasn't a big deal but it was unusual.

No closet, no drawers. Rooms were small. No pool. Coffee maker not plugged in. Lots of wasted space after poorly planned renovations. Difficulty in getting ready to go out due to small vanity area. Tight fit in room for more than two people. Good location and friendly staff

We were there for a wedding this weekend and the Emily hotel was absolutely stunning! The bar happy hour was a lot of fun and Sean our server was amazing. The hotel is beautiful and was immaculate.

Very good

Room was very basic, nothing special. Beds were alright but not super comfy. Trains going all day and night were a little annoying but we managed to get used to it and get a decent sleep. Coffee bar on the first floor by lobby was super convenient and helped get the day started.

The Emily Hotel was suggested by ChatGPT along with other options as I asked Ai to help plan my visit to the Obama Center. The Obama Center is great by the way. The front desk staff at the Emily helped us change rooms thankfully. The view in our first room was to a dumpster (or obstructed view of some sort. — a real eye sore). We moved to a street view and it was truly a street view. We could see those on the street well and they could see us. The highlights were that the staff were nice — That helped. We could walk to restaurants. The hotel is basic to us (and not close so where we were going). It was very hot in Chicago when we were there (fyi) but no pool at this hotel. The bath tub is too high off the floor. It’s in a case that you must climb over to step into (it’s a shower/tub combo). That seemed dangerous. We almost slipped getting out more than once. Overall the hotel is fine. We were looking for an experience to support the experience we were about to have and this hotel didn’t add to it but it’s fine and depending on what you are traveling for, it can work. Google is nearby.

A super cute hotel in a great walkable neighborhood. Only downside is they are very strict about check in/check out times. Also the walls between rooms are thin. Our neighbors were having a super fun time which was great for them, but kept us awake throughout the night.

This was a family trip, so maybe not the right location. There was a LOT of construction in the area. There was no parking for hotel guests, unless you paid over $80 a day for valet only. The space was very modern, but dark. The beds were low to the ground and uncomfortable. Clean, but minimal accommodations. Staff was minimally helpful with questions we had. We won’t be staying here again.

All of the staff was very friendly. We will definitely be returning to this hotel again in the near future. The outdoor movie theater is also amazing. They provide snacks, etc.. great location! Can’t say enough about the staff!

This was our second time at The Emily. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel. Great coffee shop. Lots of local restaurants within walking distance. The CTA Morgan station is very close by.
