The Hoxton, Chicago
About The Hoxton, Chicago
Welcome to The Hoxton, Chicago - your home away from home in the heart of Chicago's West Loop district. While there is so much to do (and eat) in this nook of the Windy City, you may find yourself having a hard time leaving The Hoxton's four walls. We've got 3 bars and restaurants, rooftop pool, room service, a coffee shop, yoga studio, The Apartment - our meeting and events space, and Working From_ - our coworking space (just to name a few). In the lobby, you'll find Cira - a modern Mediterranean restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and tasty weekend brunch. Up on the roof, there's Cabra - a Peruvian-inspired cevicheria by Chef Stephanie Izard. And finally, for nightcaps and evening sips, head to Lazy Bird where you'll enjoy live music with a cocktail (or two) in hand. As for our rooms, each is air-conditioned with a satellite flat-screen TV, well-appointed interiors, private bathrooms with rain showers and the free Hoxton extras you know to expect from us: tea kettle, coffee and tea, water, mini fridge, blow dryer, Blank toiletries, 24-hour front desk service along with WiFi throughout the hotel. What's more, we're dog-friendly, and offer valet parking for hotel and restaurant guests. We're a short stroll to Willis Tower, Chicago Board of Trade Building and the CIBC Theater. The closest airport is Midway International Airport (MDW) - about 8 miles from The Hox.

Great location for everything Chicago. Very nice breakfast in the lobby to buy, French toast was our favorite. Extremely comfortable room, bathroom and bed. Front desk was helpful, caring and efficient. Internal fan was quite loud so we decided to keep it on rather than using the on/off auto setting like an airplane engine coming&going; does cover lake street train sounds though. Parking nearby at the university parking structure worked well, only $15/day. Views of the neighboring building gives good siding ideas. Thank you for a nice hotel!

Great hotel!!

The Hoxton is in a key location for eating out, access to the city and getting around. There are some aspects of the rooms that make the overall stay slightly below four star due to a worn down chair in the room, and marginal housekeeping.

Then on the last night (Sunday mind you) at 2 am our wall was vibrating from neighbor bumping music. Called security and security shows up to our door knocking instead of the person playing music. 😂 Lastly we had a lot of hidden charges that were not clearly defined when booking the hotel and these charges did not exist when we stayed here back in August. Called them to dispute and they told me they get calls all the time of people disputing these charges claiming they’re for their amenities. But when booking a hotel amenities should just be a part of the booking. Charging guests $25 a night ($100 total) for pool and gym should just be included into the booking cost. Just charge more per night at that point. Overall location is superb, the staff is uninterested, and the lobby is always vibrant. But wouldn’t stay here again. Seems it’s on the downfall.

They have a water dispenser on each floor. You can bring your own water bottle for refills
-
Great end to a Chicago style date night with my one and only.

Ultimately, makes a premium hotel like this more of a "fine" hotel as opposed to "great" Won't be staying again.

There is something for everyone at this nicely located hotel near the Green Line and steps away from many chic restaurants and bars. The Hoxton pays attention to details and adds the extras that elevate a stay -- water bottle fill stations on every floor, coffee bar in the hotel, quick early breakfast delivered to the room for those rushing out. The downside was the AC did not work in our room, the fridge did not cool in our friends' room, and a room flooded into the hall, so some maintenance issues. Only 2 elevators = very slow during peak times. And, make sure to ask for the quiet side of the building if the train will keep you awake or wake you up in the morning.

Hotel location is great. It is in the West Loop and close to many restaurants. I wish there is a gym in the hotel. Or they can have a partnership with gyms close by.
