A sanctuary of peace. A lovely garden beautifully manicured offers a venue in which to relax and forget the outside world. The suite was spacious and the air-conditioning proved essential (particularly during the late May heatwave). A fifteen minute walk to restaurants, shops and banks etc. and a further ten minutes takes you to the fascinating lanes of the old town. Excellent breakfast choice which one can take into the garden to enjoy the early morning cool. An elegant, memorable and unique experience - thoroughly recommended. Nothing could have been improved upon

We were upgraded on arrival to a suite, it was superb! The staff were friendly and helpful. Safe secure parking behind locked gates. Beautiful gardens to the property. Excellent breakfast supplied. Easy walk to the river and centre of Cognac. I cannot praise this enough. What a wonderful start to our holiday. It is beautiful

Great property with amazing rooms Nothing

The hotel is a former mansion, and it feels like you are entering your own private property. The mansion is in exceptional condition. The area was very quiet as well. The property is a little outside of the city center, so you feel far from the action in a way - walking to the city center is very easy though.

Beautiful old disused cognac house refurbished and turned into a modern guest house complete with parking, pretty gardens, a swimming pool and hot tub. We had a very nice apartment suitable for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Nothing, there wasn’t anything to dislike

The grounds of the property were nice and car spaces. Staff really friendly. Musty smell in the accomadation, the bed and bedding felt damp. Air fresheners are placed all over the place even in the kitchen cabinets, so obviously a problem which they are aware of. Limited tea & coffee no milk The jacuzzi bath was half boxed into the wall, so I could not attempt to get in it, even struggled with showering, which was handheld. Did not like the steps down to the accomadation. Be careful of the lip at the top and slippy when it wet. Really disappointed it was booked for our wedding anniversary treat.

The château was very nice. Daytime temperatures were 35 degrees + and the accommodation was air conditioned. The pool was an added bonus. The suite was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Parking on site was easy and plentiful. Overall both the château and the grounds were well maintained. The professionalism of staff was inconsistent. During the afternoon of our overnight stay a member of staff knocked on the door, swiftly unlocked the door and entered the room making demands about the air conditioning. Apparently indifferent to the fact that she had woken me up, compromised my privacy and in falsely accusing me of turning up the air conditioning undermined my integrity she proceeded to rant and then stomped out of the room. Completely unacceptable behaviour. We sought to raise the issue with the château but couldn’t find anyone ‘managerial’ to speak to. The person who managed the breakfast service was,on the other hand, thoroughly professional.

Very clean , advantage of pool and spa,in beautiful restored building. Good continental breakfast. A bit of a walk to town(20 & mins) for senior citizens. scruffy bed head !( peeling) Seersucker pillow cases are not comfortable! Musty smell as we had a basement suite. A bit mean on the coffee pods, no bottle of water.
