Super clean and superbly maintained. The owners were absolutely the most gracious and accommodating that could be imagined. Far exceeded our expectations. The food for brunch was lovingly and carefully prepared. Superb experience here! We didn’t stay longer!

The location is perfect, right on the main platz without actually being on the main platz. The room is small but beautifully updated. Air conditioning was incredibly helpful during a historic heatwave. Breakfast was superb. And the staff was so helpful in accomodating our toddler. The room was small and the view was not good.

Very close to the centre. Lovely clean and cool room. Host was charming, helpful and thoughtful. Breakfast was superb. We would definitely book to stay here again.

The owners are amazing!!! Such kind individuals that are truly excited to share their city. They have excellent recommendations. The location is also perfect… easy to take elevators from the metro to the street the hotel is located. Excellent breakfast as well. One of the nicest stays we have had in Germany. Also, the AC works great (whew) Not applicable

Great location very close to train station and Cathedral! Loved it was a smaller hotel which made us feel at home. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding! The owners Igmar and Andi take pride in what they do and it shows 100% It didn’t bother us as we are very capable to handle stairs but there is no elevator. Norman at the front desk was very kind and carried our suitcases.

The breakfast was off the chart excellent each morning we dined with them. The choices for the breakfast was beyond superb. Plus our hosts Andy and the extremely talented chef( I can’t remember his name but I remember his food) were extremely helpful Let me think… maybe the way the shower drained! I’m joking of course our stay was exceptionally great!

The location is amazing. Not only easily accessible from the train station, but also to everything else! The staff is also fantastic - Andy, Francisco, and the whole team made us feel welcome and their knowledge of the city was so helpful.

The location was perfect! The market was right around the corner, but it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was good and the host was incredibly nice.

Location was perfect for a quick 24 hours in Cologne. Very clean room, top floor was spacious for 3-4 guests with books, games, fridge, kettle & a new bathroom. Host (clearly a foodie) was lovely, breakfast was amazing with a freshly cooked eggs & specialty items. I'd highly recommend a stay here. FYI, there is no elevator & plenty of stairs. The nearest recommended parking garage is a bit dodgy, but worked fine for our stay.

Very nice boutique hotel with great staff and great breakfast. Quiet but in a central location. Good value also Getting in the building front door after staff hours is a little tricky, you have to put your card up to a reader, listen for a buzz and then wait for a beep before you try to push the door open

I had the most wonderful stay at Stern am Rathaus in Cologne. From the moment I arrived, the owners were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making me feel right at home. Even though I checked in late, the process was seamless, and throughout my stay they were quick to respond to any questions I had. The room was cozy and the bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable—I slept better here than at the nearby 4-star hotel I stayed at earlier, which wasn’t nearly as memorable. Each morning started with a fresh, homemade breakfast buffet, including made-to-order eggs and bacon, which was such a treat. Everything about this hotel felt personal, warm, and thoughtful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and can’t recommend it enough for anyone visiting Cologne. N/A - I liked it all!
