They care about hospitality and their guests, and it feels so good!

The amenities are great, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We just hope the room quality will be better next time.

Great place, food and activities available.

It would be nice at check in if they offer you a map of the full property; listing the amenities the resort fees cover, and not just a map of the different units. We called the front desk one evening to find out where the pool/hot tub was located and what the hours were because we were wanting to head down. We made the walk to the pool, only to find out it was closed due to weather (not the properties fault), but it would have been nice if the front desk would have mentioned that to us, before security had to yell at us to leave. It wasn't raining, but I guess there was lightening nearby to close the pool/hot tub (we didn't notice bad weather?). After a long day of hiking the hot tub would have been nice! The room beds and pillows are comfy. There are robes and slippers in the closet. Towels and wash clothes are nice and thick. There's a blow drier, and magnification mirror under the sink. The balcony was nice. The Keurig coffee maker in our room did not work correctly - it would fill the coffee cup with coffee grounds and didn't drip the correct water ratio. Yuck! There are not many wall outlets to charge electronics and lighting in the room is really dim. Bring a charging port with extra outlets if there are more than two people in your room.

    Okay

Very nice place, however the hidden fees were a big surprise and very annoying. $35. a day tp park outside your motel/hotel room and $45. a day for use of the facilities ( fitness and pool), whether you planned on using them or not. So really, the reservation was approx $100. more a day than advertised. Plus a $50. a day incidental fees, which I am assuming will be returned to me.

I wasn’t very impressed with the rooms in this 4 star hotel. The walls are very thin and we could hear every step the people above us took in their room. The water pressure in the shower was meh and the tub didn’t drain well. The property is old and could use some updating, even our patio had broken railings. They gave us a map with a schedule when we checked in, the room service was listed til 10pm on there but it actually closed at 9pm so we missed our chance for dessert. I think it would be fine to stay here if you have a discount or points but I wouldn’t pay full price.

But it was a very nice rustic resort with great pools tennis etc…

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

    Great location and view

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

    great alternative to the Broadmoor

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Quality of room is outdated. Breakfast choices are very limited. There are way to many fees. Overall, it was a poor value since I did not feel the price I paid was matched by the quality of the room and the facilities

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Beautiful view, clean room, easy check-in, friendly service No housekeeping service, badly overpriced (everything--room, resort fee, parking, breakfast, gift shop), broken fixtures in room, mediocre breakfast

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The room was very nice overall. Super comfy bedding. I do wish the bathroom was a little fresher. The lvp flooring was showing a lot of wear. I also wish there was a microwave in room. Staff was super nice and helpful. Excellent pools available. Drinks were awesome. One complaint would be the quality of the food for the pricing, we tried Gates Grill. The location is gorgeous but our ticket was 170 for 3 adults and 2 kids. The food wasn’t seasoned well. I did enjoy the coffee shop. Delicious breakfast burrito. I would stay here again but avoid the overpriced food.

Room bedside lights. Bulb burned out. Breakfast pastries were sub par with similar resorts and for the price. Baked goods were equivalent to pilsbury.

It was a wonderful place to stay! It had great views with so many activities.

This is my third time returning and I was not disappointed. Love this property for all that it has to offer! The grounds are absolutely beautiful and there are tons of activities and amenities to keep a family busy. We especially loved the option of having indoor or outdoor Pickleball courts. Also appreciate the dining options including the café that serves handcrafted, coffees and teas.

We’ve been here a good few times now, it’s got nice access to the lake and beach, good for the kids and the food in the golf club was very good for what we paid for it Much more dislikes than I’ve had in the past and we probably won’t be back: - $30 a night, new charge to park your car lol. I could get valet in the Broadmoor up the street for $40 a night what are we doing here; this is cheap and easy. Now it’s no longer that. I won’t be back purely because of this greed. They never charged us a parking fee before. - $40 a day resort fee when I asked what it was for I was told among other things “the (plastic) bottled water in your room and the smores”. lol; since when is water in your room not part of what you pay for a hotel? And the smores? We have small kids that would have loved them, we were never told but charged anyway. - last time we checked in, a beer at check in and some ice cream tokens for the kids. Those all vanished, no longer the cheerful check in. - the “games room”, pls at all costs stay away and don’t bring your kids in. They are these “child friendly” machines you put tokens in to try grab a toy, and look I get it, I know how these things work, but at least make it a tiny bit fun for the kids. You cannot win. It’s like being in a casino where it lands on the house every single time and no one wins, pls either close this or remove the machines or fix them. - very minor here but I needed a room to do a call for 20 mins over the weekend. Was told no; there was no way. I literally found loads of empty meeting rooms and used one on my own but why not try to help a guest? Overall, this has become too expensive for the cheap and cheerful getaway it used to be, and like many things in corporate America, it’s now charging more and offering less.
