This place absolutely destroyed me and my uncles expectations of any place we had stayed in and were still planning to stay while vacationing Peru. We knew it was more than the best spot when we could not help but compare other hotels to this one. The awesome entrance walking into what felt like a hidden grotto was so awesome! The beds were the softest, most comfortable beds we had slept in on our entire trip. We had an actual fan in the room to help disperse the air! The rain shower was sooo incredible. The staff were so nice and accommodating. We were rushed most of this trip and the staff helped us get laundry done that same day when that was all the time we could afford and they had it so nicely folded and ready to go. They even had delicious packed lunches for us as we had to get up extremely early the mornings we stayed to meet with our tour guides. So nice. They provided delicious, crisp water in beautiful glass water bottles. Wish I had room to pack one to take home with me! Having actual toilet paper and plenty of it was a godsend. A heated towel rack!?!? A touchless electric bathroom trash can!?!? When I found out the rooms had these I looked at my uncle and said, "DO YOU SEE THIS!? THIS PLACE IS SO COOL!" Just incredible little added bonuses. I will never forget this place, how well we slept, the accommodations, the staff and service. Tocuyeros, we will never forget you. If I have the pleasure of staying with at your incredible hotel again, I would do so in a heartbeat. The only thing I could even say would have been a little better was that the restaraunt was out of some items including all the sushi dishes which I would have loved to try! May have been totally circumstantial at the time too and it did not take away from our enjoyment of your hotel in any way. I also wish we could have had your complimentary breakfast, but as we had to leave early the two mornings we stayed here, we just unfortunately did not have the time to do so. When I come back, I will be excited to try your full breakfast!

TL;DR Reliable, caring, and genuinely thoughtful. One of the rare hotels in Cusco that truly takes responsibility. Beautifully designed with decent food. Review: Had 2 separate bookings with Machu Picchu in between, and the hotel was consistently excellent. Late at night, after a flared foot injury, I urgently needed a shoe with arch support to avoid re-injury. Despite the hour and the extremely limited transportation options, the staff coordinated a multi-step late-night delivery from Cusco to Ollantaytambo and then on to Aguas Calientes—the only possible route at that time. This was genuinely difficult to arrange, and it was handled with an exceptional level of care and commitment that truly went above and beyond. They also pay close attention to details: after we mentioned minor linen issues (which we later learned can be related to high-altitude laundry systems), they upgraded us immediately, and everything was noticeably better when we returned. All services are reliable—great restaurant, friendly staff, same-day laundry. They were also very understanding when we had to shorten our stay due to altitude sickness. In a city where reliability can be hit-or-miss, this place truly stands out. N/A

Beautiful setting

The hotel is well situated. It is close and walkable to everything. At the same time, it's tucked inside a bit to be far enough away from the busy streets to be QUIET. The rooms are spacious, isolated from street noise, and the shower and bath setup is very practical (almost Japanese style). Hot water is plentiful here. Conditions are good for a good night’s sleep. We found the service to be lacking and in need of improvement. Despite a four night stay, we never felt any connection with staff. At no time during our stay did anyone ask about our plans for the day, or offer any hint of interest in our visit (only on the last day were we even asked “how was breakfast?”). Breakfast was generally disappointing. One day the toast bread was fresh and warm, the next cool and stale. Sometimes the coffee was hot, sometimes luke warm. We tried the pancakes and waffles our first day. Pancakes: luke warm. Waffles: cold. Eggs… warm one day, cool the next. The common area self service tea bar was inconsistent in terms of the key ingredient: hot water. Sometimes only warm, and sometimes the pot was just about empty. All of this would have been less disappointing if the staff was more engaging… But they seemed to often be watching something on their phone instead of anticipating the needs of guests. I understand things are never perfect and balancing peak demand time with available staff is not easy, but every other hotel on this trip did an admirable job with similar client to staff ratios. There is more… we were a couple of two. On the night stand was a welcome treat. Chocolate. ONE (small round) chocolate for the two of us to share! There was improvement with breakfast on our last day, as the front desk manager and a different cook attended to us. It was refreshing… when the eggs were ready, the cook delivered them, not waiting for the server to get around to it as they got cold. So, clearly, all of the issues I listed above can be fixed, if there is a desire to do so. I recommend that management evaluate the service model and improve it. This was the most expensive of the nine hotels we used on this vacation, and the service was the most disappointing. And to be clear, I am not talking about “yes sir/no sir, beckon call” type 5-star service as a goal… just simple pleasantries and interest in the job.

Location was great and very quiet. Staff were excellent. Lounge area in restaurant was lovely with great views. Best coffee we had in our trip too! Bedrooms were spacious and clean but a bit dark. Would have been nice to have a safe in the room.
