Big Vacation Hostel

Quiet… kind… friendly… affordable… if I return to Cusco, I will stay here :) Nothing :(

Staff were really kind and helpful. Hotel is walking distance from the city center and Sacsayhuaman. Small breakfast is included free of charge.

Maybe one more tower on the floor in the bathroom would be better. The bathroom floor is hard to keep dry but it's not a big deal.

Sweet and quiet place in a good location. Room was spacious and even had really nice view, good hot shower, nice breakfast, really kind hosts (braught me cake to my room for my birthday!). The room was freezing to me even with two blankets :/ at least adding carpets will be grand.

Comfortable bed, warm blankets, hot shower. The man who runs the hostal is super friendly and helpful, and is flexible with additional needs. It is at the top of a steep hill so a bit of a walk.

We stayed here twice (before and after the salkantay track). It's a lovely little hostel, with cute & good breakfast, the opportunity to easily lock your things during the time of the track, nice rooms and a super nice service of the owner. The prices are more then fair so I highly recommend staying here. It's a little bit uphill of the histrical town, but totally worth to walk up the little hill. There are some good restaurants directly around (e.g. "New Garden"), that are less overpriced than in the centre.

The friendliness of the family is super. It is like visitting relatives in Cusco. The recommendations are great. The location is near a lot of attraction, but still offer you a peaceful rest at night. For not an early bird, the breakfast is too early for me. The location is way up there, so you need to climb. However, it is a great preparation for Machu Picchu.

The place was very comfortable and clean. And the staff was super friendly and helpful. They can organise a tour or taxi for you. They allowed us to store the luggage while being away for 5 days. We felt very nice and comfortable and loved the fact they offer some simple meals for dinners so you do not have to walk somewhere when tired. We would definitely come again. Thank you! :)

The staff was wonderful. All of the people who work here are kind, generous, helpful and accommodating. They book tours for you and the prices you get here are as good as what you'll find on your own, unlike most hostels. Fair warning: They don't really speak English. But they will work hard to help you, even if they don't speak your language. The beds are comfortable and the location is good, close to restaurants, bars and the town square. There's only one bathroom. Honestly, this is my only complaint, but it's kind of a big one. When it gets crowded, every person in the hostel has to use the ONE bathroom. That means a lot of waiting around if you have to go and someone is taking a long shower or ... something else. The shower water was also not very warm at all.

Such a welcoming B&B. It’s like staying at your Aunt & Uncles. The couple who run it are so kind and generous and helpful. Bedroom & bathroom very clean and the cleaner is there everyday, also very sweet. Breakfast is generous, fresh juice, freshly made omelette, fresh bread. We stayed for 2 nights before MP and stayed another 5 days after. Location is up a big hill but it’s peaceful and has lots of cafes and restaurants around to explore outside of the main plaza. Only 10 mins to main plaza, best of both worlds. Hot showers! Every time you come back you have to ring the bell. It adds to the charm of the place but you do feel like you are interrupting the family. The shower wasn’t super powerful but got by.

Great stay and would highly recommend. Excellent value for money. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Some reviews mentioned no hot water but we did not have this problem. Yes there is a 'knack' to it but if you follow the instructions of the owner should be no issues. Breakfast is modest but perfect to start you day (again especially for the price brilliant to have breakfast included). Slept well and in a nice area with a lovely view. Nothing

There were lockers which we stored our luggages here during the tour to Machu Picchu for 5 days. And came back to stay 2 nights more, the room was bigger than the first stay. It was super nice! nothing!

The staff are super nice! I felt warm and just like home here! We woke up at 04:00 for tours, and they woke up too for opening door and reheating hot water for us! We stored the luggages in the lockers here while doing the Machu Picchu Tour. The room is super clean and we love it! The hot shower pressure is a bit small, and it's ok, at least it's hot! A long slope to climb from the plaza, but it's a good warm-up exercise for our Machu Picchu Tour^^

Great host, who helps with everything. Clean room and bathroom (gets cleaned every day!) The room is a little bit cold and damp.

The staff was very friendly and gentle The place definitely needs a bit of investment. It’s a simple hostel, but the quality of why is offered is really poor. The room was extremely cold, there wasn’t any heating system. Also, the shower was extremely bad. In order for the water to come out hot, you need to close it so much that no more than one line of water comes out at a time. Needless to say that we couldn’t shower during our period there, because we could not stand the extreme cold. Simple things could improve a lot the place. We missed something like a microwave on the shared kitchen to prepare something small and warm at winter time. The location is specially bad. It’s in the top of a long hill, in a very narrow street, where cars cannot access. It means that you can’t count with taxis/ubers or buses/vans for your tours. It’s near the city Center, the the hill really ruins it when you consider your arrival and departure with luggage.

We stayed here for 9 nights, doing the Salkantay Trail in between and could leave our luggage there for free. It’s in San Blas which is the nicest neighborhood and you have a great view from the rooms down to the city! The hosts were amazingly friendly and heartily and also very patient with our Spanish! 100% recommend :)

The care that the hosts provide for the cost of the stay and the location is hard to compete with. Only a short set of stairs (3min walk, maybe?) to archeological site, a resto with possibly the best view of the city, and the pickup for taxis (and shared ride services) Got a bit cold at this time of year so just gotta make sure you have something warm to sleep in.
