The hotel has a colonial style with beautiful decoration and original pieces of architecture. The stuff is amazing showing the kindness of the Peruvian people. They were always flexible and tried to meet and overcome my expectations. The rooms were quite big, cleaned daily and also with all the amennities you may need, including heating. They allowed me to store my bags without charge and always guided me for any questions I could have. The location is just a couple of minutes walking from the Plaza de Armas and very close to the center and main attractions. Thanks to all the stuff and specially to Dennis for making my stay in Cusco an unforgetable experience. Maybe small hint on the internet which needed some ocassionally restart to work.

The staff made this place so wonderful. From always being welcoming and kind and offering directions to packing my breakfast super early in the morning and helping me weigh my bags, they were the highlight. The front desk staff is exceptional. The place is in a great location which is convenient for early tours and great food and lively atmosphere. Very clean and comfortable rooms and the beds are comfortable. A great place to stay in Cusco! The breakfast didn’t have many options for healthy, filling food except fruit.

I liked everything, but breakfast could have been a bit better.

I loved this hotel. Breakfast was amazing and the staff was wonderful. My room didn’t have hot water when other guests were taking showers. My room key wasn’t functioning properly and it always took several tries to unlock the door.

Really unique hotel - feel like you are staying in an old Spanish Colonial Mansion. The staff were very friendly and available 24/7. The location was perfect - super close to the historic center and markets but a few blocks away so it was not so loud. Had a large mini fridge and TV with all the major sports channels which was awesome for a Football lover. Also have free luggage storage for going to Machu Pichu! This is an older building so the amenities are not brand new or fancy. Older Shower/Toilet/TV etc... Still was fine for me!

There is one gentleman who works at the desk in the morning, who was very helpful and had some suggestions for me when I wasn’t feeling well The room felt very dark and cold, and the very much expired carpeting made my room feel dingy. It was also a tremendous amount of noise from the other side of my wall, some sort of bar or disco tech must’ve been there. Avoid room 102.

The breakfast was delicious and the nearly unlimited tea/coffee was the best.

The coffee was amazing! The omelets made on site were as well. Breakfast selection was really good. The building is so amazing, such an incredible vibe. The staff was so helpful and kind. Really felt good. We had no glass window and the wooden cover to the rooms only window did not allow light in. Walking out into the courtyard from the room in the morning was blinding.

Loved the tea, breakfast, and atrium for enjoying coffee and breakfast. The gorgeous wood doors and dressers throughout the hotel made the hotel very special. The front desk staff was very helpful with directions and assisting with lost luggage. Noise from nearby bar went into the evening and generally the atrium allowed noise to carry when anyone was coming or going in the evening. Earplugs recommended!

We loved our stay at the Hotel Marqueses in Cusco! Just like the pictures show, a historic building constructed in the Spanish Colonial style, the rooms give to one of two central courtyards. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable and the breakfast was very complete. The personnel were very friendly, helpful and accommodating! 1) Not so much a dislike as much as an observation to share: the rooms all open to the central courtyard and the public spaces are not climatized (heated). We were just there in late May which corresponds to late fall and at a high elevation. If the sun isn't shining it is generally cold. The bedroom that we had on the first floor was equipped with a space heater which was adequate for the purpose. 2) I suspect that the thick walls affected the wifi and cellular data signals. We managed.

first of all, the staff are exceptional! so welcoming and kind. Dennis brought us our first sip of coca tea when we stepped into the hotel and never stopped making suggestions and recommendations and helping us to arrange our logistics The hotel is in a very old building and has a beautiful inner courtyard with flowers and fountains. the room was a tight fit due to the double bed plus a single bed. But, you know, old buildings.... Also the floors were quite creaky and thin walls, For a couple days, my husband claimed there was no hot water in the shower.

Location was perfect. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was great, authentic and like walking back in time.

It took the hot water forever to come through and some days it was just luke warm.

Very close to the main Square and the plaza, pretty quiet, good deal, safe area I would only stay in this place if you like something musty, old, and appreciate a King Arthur-era type hotel that looks like it hasn't been updated since it opened. Everything is worn down and I'm not talking in an antique sort of way. There are no actual windows on the rooms, just wooden doors that you open to let in light. We were a family of three traveling in one of the rooms and they gave us a room with only one bed even though the rest of the rooms in the hotel appeared to have two beds when we peeked in all of the doors We rented three rooms and every single bathroom had a problem. One shower left us standing in 4 inches of water within a minute of turning on the water and leaked all over the bathroom. (we asked them to fix it three times and it still wasn't fixed by the time we checked out). One shower caused dripping over the sink when the shower was on. One shower had no hot water. That being said, the water pressure was good. All in all, I would probably avoid this Hotel and spend a few more dollars for something nicer.

I had one hot shower. Seems you have to let the water run for five minutes before the hot water arrives

The location is perfect, just steps away from the main square of Cusco.

They said 24 got service and when my wife felt sick on the first night, there was no one to be found up all for oxygen not matte de coca

Great location but the entrance was not impressive and in a busy, narrow alley. Beautiful interior. Lovely breakfast. Entrance was underwhelming, deceptive but inside was beautiful. Charming!
