She didn't give us the room we reserved, and didn't apologise for that. Every breakfast, you need to go down and look for just to get 1 egg. The hostel is located in the hills, and it is not fun to do up and down walks all day

Room was big We’re old and run down, up a lot of stairs to get there

The owner is very kind. She helped us book a tour to Palccoyo mountain. She even walked with us into town at 4:30 in the morning to make sure we got picked up by the tour agency! The hostel is very nice too, the rooms are a bit cold but you get a lot of blankets so we were never cold during the night. The bathroom is very clean and the location is also very good. You just have to walk up stairs from the centre to get there but it's Cusco, there just are a lot of stairs. The breakfast is great too! We could also leave our backpacks for a few days when we went to Ollantaytambo. I recommend this hostel to anyone! It exceeded our expectations, mostly because of the kindness of the owner.

Good Wi-Fi signal The owner didn't tell us that they serve breakfast till 9am so we missed one. Location and not enough hot water.

Good location at the top of San Blas region in Cusco (up a lot of steps!). Comfortable beds and good pillows. Friendly staff who let us check in a little bit early. Cheap but not sure it's worth it... We booked a room with city views but the window was completely blocked by a building meaning there was no natural light at all so the room feels like dungeon! Sadly the whole building is quite dark due to the new building next door. Breakfast is on the top floor in a light room where once would have been a great view which is now blocked. Breakfast was standard/ basic, but the bread was stale. We also paid $4USD more than the stated price due to "commission" which they couldn't explain. If they stated which rooms have light/are not blocked I think this is an OK place to stay for the price if you are prepared for which room you'll have.

Considerate staff, great that we could leave our luggage for a week while hiking. Thin walls, uncomfortable beds, and not always hot water.

The room was big and comfortable, the owners are also very nice. There was a problem with pipes, so we didn’t have water a few times.

The host Marianela was one of the kindest hostel owners we've ever met. She made us breakfast outside of regular hours because we were leaving earlier, and arranged taxis and cheap tours for us. The hostel itself is quiet and simple, but lovely and cosy. There's quite some stairs to get up to the hostel, but that was very manageable

The room was quiet and cosy enough. Good price/quality relationship. The bathroom wasn’t very clean and the toilet were running out of water. The landlady was always spying on us to verify if we used well the bathroom… not very welcoming. Moreover they were cutting the water off during the night.

    It was very nice

The owner and staff were super nice. The kitchen is a bit small with no fridge. The bathroom got blocked and shower was cold.

Location at the top of San Blas was nice, and the rate was fair relative to other options Unfortunately quite unorganized and overall not the most comfortable stay. Private room wasn’t ready so placed us in a different shared room for part of the stay. No towels, hand soap, toilet paper, or any basic toiletries at first, and some sheets and facilities are not quite up to a clean standard but still okay for a few nights given the nightly rate. The main lady host was reluctant at first to provide advertised breakfast or even a cup of coffee, however, the daughter was helpful and it was a nice basic breakfast when provided! I think the listing might be outdated as every window was blocked by a building wall (although maybe not their fault) so the entire building except for the rooftop is quite dark and cold. Also regulated all the facilities to the point where they turn off the hot water mid shower. We are very eco conscious ourselves, especially at this price point, but I think there’s definitely a line when it comes to compromising the basic stay for your guests. I guess the overall shame is the woman owner’s reluctance to provide a “standard” stay, even after their discrepancies with our reservation and while we always remained friendly/understanding from our side. However the husband was very helpful and understanding at the end, and the beds were comfortable enough to get a good rest! We are still grateful for the stay but unfortunately would choose differently next time. Thank you nonetheless and best wishes!
