The rooms are very small

Only positive was the free shuttle to airport and location was ok Smelled musty in the room don't think it's cleaned well. Very stained carpet and noisy hallway. Not a comfortable bed. Felt like a motel quality definitely not a Hilton property will never again stay.

The friendly staff The 30 plus minute wait because Hampton did not sync their reservations with Booking.com. it was definitely the most I have ever paid for a room at Hampton.

The room was musty smelling and had no ventilation in the bathroom. Also, and this is just a wish, but with only an outdoor pool if it had a heater for evening or cold weather swimming or maybe installing a hot tub would go a long way.

The pillows were lumpy and the bed was uncomfortable. Not the best place to stay!

Our stay at the property was okay. Our room was outdated but over all clean. Other individuals in our party had poor quality rooms. Beds were terrible and the bathrooms were not very clean. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was as expected. Overall for the amount of money we spent, I expected better.

Staff was amazing!

Front desk staff did their jobs but were not pleasant, no smile, no welcome. Room was extremely small. Lots of noise through the night. Light switch at room entrance didn't seem to operate anything. Dead bugs on floor. Dirty toilet when entering room. Very limited plug ins. Would not stay here again!

We checked into the Hampton Inn Des Moines Airport shortly after midnight and walked out within 15 minutes because the room was disgusting and completely unfit to stay in. We have stayed at many Hampton Inn properties over the years and have always had positive experiences, which is why we booked this hotel. This location was a shocking embarrassment to the Hampton Inn name. The room was absurdly small, with a bed and chaise lounge jammed into the corner like an afterthought. The chaise was covered in heavy stains, including one large stain in the center that looked like bodily fluid. The carpet was filthy, the air conditioner had visible mold and excessive condensation, furniture was chipped and damaged, paint was peeling in the bathroom, and a large gap under the entry door let in hallway light and noise. When we pulled back the sheets, we found multiple hairs on the bedding. We never unpacked, never used anything in the room, and left immediately because the condition was so bad. The front desk experience was just as awful. When we asked for another room or a refund, the clerk told us we were interrupting her smoke break, disappeared for about 30 minutes, then came back refusing to help and threatening to call the police simply because we wanted our money back. This was the worst hotel experience we have ever had and a complete failure of basic cleanliness, professionalism, and customer service.

Friendly staff

If you fly out or leave early you won’t get any type of breakfast because they don’t start until 6:00am I guess. It is a nice place to stay and very close to the airport and car rental returns. Overall a very good place to stay and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
