The view from the rooftop restaurant is amazing

Old town hotel conveniently located close to the Pile Gate for easy access to/from transportation. The rooftop breakfast was tasty, even if you had to climb up to 5 flights of stairs to reach it each morning. The annex room where I was located was well decorated and of a good size. I was placed into the annex building, which will happen if you get "upgraded" to a premium king. This was located down the street from the hotel and in a much busier area. It was also significantly louder, as the restaurant downstairs plays loud techno/dance music all day and into the night (we had to tell them to turn it off at 11pm). Naps were out of the question. The door handle came off while I was staying there. When I first turned the shower on, water sprayed from the shower head joint all over the bathroom including the dry clothes I was going to wear (I fixed this myself by screwing the head back tight). Being in the annex, you have to walk back to the main hotel and up to the roof for breakfast, so there's a loss of convenience, and also a feeling that you're in an Airbnb and not an actual hotel. Disappointingly, it cost me more for what is effectively a worse experience. If you choose to stay here, I strongly recommend staying in the main hotel and avoiding the annex.

The restaurant Above 5 was wonderful; better than a lot of Michelin resturants I have eaten at and our waiter Maro was awesome. What a great and friendly guy! Nothing!

Had to switch rooms twice due to air conditioning not working

The restaurant was amazing with a spectacular chef. Great location in old town. Wonderful, helpful staff.

Loved our stay at this beautiful boutique hotel in a perfect location! Breakfast on the rooftop balcony was a highlight - highly recommend. Very nicely decorated (simple, elegant), clean, comfortable room. The staff were at every step very helpful, accommodating, and friendly. We had a glitch in our travel and had to stay an extra night and happily were able to move into another room - the staff ensured a quick turn-around to get into our new room and it was seamless. We were happy to stay another night in this wonderful hotel! Location is up a charming side street, and is very close to one of the main town gates, so very easy to get in and out with our (minimal) luggage to meet our driver and when dropped off. No complaints. The hotel has no elevator and you have to take the stairs but they make that very clear when you research the hotel. I think for older or mobility impaired guests it might be tricky to be on one of the higher floors, but this is a quaint hotel in a very old city - adds to the charm, unless stairs/heights are a physical limitation for you!!

Breakfast service on the rooftop was very slow. We were the only couple for breakdast

“Be our guest” is certainly the vibe! Unbelievable hospitality! We felt like royalty from the airport pickup to the airport drop off and everything in between. We ate at the rooftop Above 5 with a backdrop of the sun setting and the moon rising! The dinner menu is a must to complete your stay. There were 14 in our party and the chef and waiter exceeded expectations. Would highly recommend!

Location. It’s within the city walls and so your right where you should be. Having to climb up 3 floors . Being a unesco site, hotel is not allowed to have lifts or elevator

No elevator

The location was excellent. The staff was top notch, friendly, and attentive. We will recommend this to others for sure. We will be back. Fantastic experience. No elevator but they carried our bags. We enjoy the exercise but others may not.

Great location, friendly staff. Was convenient to have parking arrangement with the Hilton for our rental car. Comfortable bed, great shower. Air conditioner not as efficient as it could have been.

The location was fantastic and the staff was great
-
Very convenient, staff was excellent! Above 5 restaurant one of best meals I have ever had! I think continental breakfast should be included.
-
It was full of character and was spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough to help you. It was in an excellent position. The only criticism is that the standard rooms did not have tea and coffee making facilities. This is something that should be included for the price paid.
