This a gem of a fine hotel. The room was luxurious with fantastic air conditioning and bed. It had fine robes in the closet, a beautiful walk in shower, refrigerator and coffee maker.
-
Excellent historical hotel. Would recommend if you want to stay in the heart of Dubuque.

It was a beautiful Hotel and the staff was super helpful! The bed was comfy and the room was clean. The room was small and our view was horrible. But we loved our stay!!
-
Clean rooms, good AC, lots of character, nice staff, good location in the city with plenty of parking out back.
-
Nicely maintained historical hotel. Situated perfect for day sojourns to areas of interest.

Loved the building itself and the beautiful lobby, great location too. We did have trouble adjusting the air conditioning but overall very nice room. Our complaint was the Caroline restaurant in the hotel. The air conditioning was set so high and was so cold that we had to eat our food very quickly. There were 7 of us with 3 generations and we were all super cold. We had planned to linger and chat but it was too cold so we ate quickly, paid and left. It was a shame because the food and the service was very good but we went elsewhere for the remainder of our stay.

Great location ckean room helpful staff

Location was good. The staff was extremely friendly. The rooms smelled like stale cigarettes. They were really small for the amount of money you pay a night for them. Not the cleanest room. Every is really beat up and old.

Very cool place. I really like the ambiance (Al Capone's chosen hotel in the Dubuqe during prohibition!). Classic style. The room was very nice, quite modern with all the things you expect to have. Parking was a bit tight, but free and acceptable; used the lot across the street, Close walking distance to several shops and restaurants, and the River Museum. Very nice location.

We loved the easy parking, indoor pool, Room service, and comfy beds!
-
Check in services was quick, easy and pleasant. I booked a room with a river view. However, there was not 'river view' room available at check it. Bummer.

the only place to stay in Dubuque
-
Room lamp had no working light bulbs and them one one of the 2 bulbs was replaced. No hand bar soap in bathroom.

Being downtown there was a lot of places to eat within walking distance. Loved the vibe it gives being an older style Hotel. Would definitely go back. Nothing
